I wanted to be able to give it 5 stars, but there are a few things that leave me wanting.Pros:Tineco customer service has been fantastic for me! The holders for the extra mop head andfilter were missing. They were fast to respond, quick to send me a replacement and also sent me a free roller brush. It gets the job done. I haven’t had to use it on any spills yet, but everyday dirt hasn’t been an issue.I love that the clean and dirty water tanks are separate. After cleaning, the machine has a self cleaning cycle.Cons:What I’m bothered by is how many times I have to run it to get the roller brush clean. It’s hard to believe that the brush is being cleaned as it washing like the advertisement led me to believe. The machine itself needs more cleaning after using it than I hoped. But, it’s definitely better than using a regular mop and bucket. The last thing that isn’t great but also not a deal breaker is that it leaves a bit more residual water than I had expected. I think it leaves more when it’s in steam mode than with regular mode.I wish I could try the newer, more advanced models but they are a bit out of my price range. To be fair, this is the only Tineco I have tried, so I can’t compare within the brand. The only other steam mops I’ve owned were the kinds with mop pads. Those worked great when I had all sealed wood floors. They weren’t great on the 15+ year old stone tile in our most recent house. I think the sealant wore off before we bought the house. The pad type mops just felt like I was pushing the dirt around. I was looking for a mop that would clean the roller brush as I was cleaning. I am not convinced this model does that .. at least not as well as I wanted. Also, be weary of generic roller brushes. The one set I bought don’t fit properly and cause a very loud rattling noise.

Best cleaner I’ve ever owned! I have hardwood floors (sealed) in halls and great room… can’t believe how much dirt this steamer picks up. I do not use anything but plain water and the steam setting. I can refill the clean water tank 2 times before I need to empty the dirty water tank. It is shocking to see the dark brown water when I empty the container. Even when the floors look clean, this steamer will find “invisible “ dirt and I’ll get a tank of brown water at the end of the job.The “clean” cycle on the machine is a good start for getting the machine ready for the next job but you still need to take everything apart and clean it by hand. I keep an extra roller and filter so I can change out the wet ones and give them 24 hours to dry. I like keeping the machine ready to go at all times, especially when the grandkids come over and spill milk, juice, spaghetti, you name it!Love having a corded model so I can finish the job without having to worry about running out of battery time. I hate to clean and there’s nothing worse than being out of power in the middle of a job! I’m 68 and I’ve owned MANY different vacuums, steamers, mops, etc and this has been the best. I can’t get on my hands and knees to clean the floors anymore (arthritis) and this machine saves me so much pain.I haven’t mentioned the tile floors in the kitchen and bathrooms yet. Does a nice job on cleaning the tiles too but the rollers do not reach into the grout lines as well as I would like. The manufacturer needs to come up with a roller that will get into the grout lines. All in all, this is a terrific steamer and I highly recommend it.

I am 76 years old and live with my dog, so my floors need frequent cleaning. I have tile floors throughout my home, and this Tineco vacuum has made cleaning my floors so easy for me. I love everything about it. I got the corded model so I can run it as long as I want without charging. It is self propelled so it is very easy for me to run and move around. It vacuums, scrubs and steams my floors all in one pass. When I am done, I put it back on the base, and it runs a 5 minute program that cleans the brush. All I have to do it empty out the water receptacles and it is ready for next time. I actually look forward to cleaning my floors now. This company also provides very good customer service. I highly recommend this product.

Can you be in love with a machine? Yes, yes you can. This thing saves me so much time and my back does not hurt when I am done. It’s fast, efficient and works so well. For the first time in my adult life, I can take a damp paper towel over the area I just mopped and it comes away perfectly clean. Even my husband who is blind to dirt commented about how much cleaner my floors look. Is it perfect? No, but it’s pretty freaking close. One reviewer mentioned not being able to get replacement parts, which freaked me out, but I wrote Tineco and they provided a link to order new rollers. This machine has been added to my list of things I cannot live without.

I bought the s5 corded steam mop to replace a one s5 cordless that had issues. The cordless battery failed after 6 months and it would cost me $100 to ship the unit back to Tineco to be fixed. After reading many reviews that say you end up getting sent someone else’s refurbished unit, I figured I’d take my $100 and just put it towards something else. I bought the corded unit hoping to not have to deal w a battery failure and thinking there would be more power with it.The cord length is fine, I have to replug it multiple times to clean my whole house but i factored that into my decision. The steam function seems like a gimmick. I think the steam just hits the top of the roller and doesn’t actually go directly to the floor. Floor is just lukewarm immediately after and it doesn’t get stuck on food. I have another brand steam mop w pad and that thing dissolves hard stuck on debris after a couple passes. This corded steam mop leaves a streak of water from the left side of the head. It eventually dries but this was not an issue I ever had with the cordless ones5.The self propelling function on the corded is not as good as the cordless. If you bring the handle up to high the machine stays on but the self propelling function kind of stops and I have to move the machine back and forth a few times to get it going again, kinda annoying.Otherwise the machine does do a pretty good job, my floors look decent afterwards. But for the price and this being my second attempt at Tineco, I’ll be returning the item and trying a different brand.
