It came in a package that said it was a loop e string, but it was a ball end e string. Didn't realize it until 6 months later when I needed to change strings. It's useless on my violin.

These are excellent strings and they last for a while, but as instructed to change them by the end of a year or so.

As my daughter is progressing through her violin studies I upgraded from the basic steel strings to gut. The warmer and richer tone with the full size French fiddle is a very good pairing. Much more body when playing.
