When I opened the package and smelled the aroma of real leather, I knew i made a wise choice. It's the right size for three of my bigger pens *after* it had a week or two to stretch, so it does actually have the correct storage capacity. It's well made, keeps my pens protected from my clumsiness, and is small enough to take anywhere. I was surprised at how nice the stitching is (I carve leather, but assembly is not my strong suit), and the fact that it's made of full grain leather (top grain is like the particle board of leather). Excellent value for money.

This can hold one thick or two thinner pens. If you have a fine pen like a Mont Blanc style then even then it might be a bit snug. Its a simple design and appears to be real leather, it even has a subtle leather smell. I got this more on a whim and don't use it much but it is always in my office. If you know someone into writing instruments then this is a simple but welcomed gift.

I carry multiple fountain pens with me all the time and I learned the hard way that keeping them in a case or sleeve is a very good idea... I have a canvas-like cup that holds 6, but that's cumbersome when I am not in the office or sitting at my desk. I was interested in this pen holder and decided to give it a chance. This is listed as a two-pen holder and for normal sized pens that's kinda accurate but depends on the size of the pen. However, my favorite pen is a big one - an Opus 88 Bela. It fits in most sleeves but it's big enough that I have found a few sleeves and cases where it's just too big to share space with other pens, and in one situation the case won't close with that pen in it. This sleeve is good for that specific pen (though a little snug), so I have that pen and this case paired. For two normal sized pens, this case works though it is very snug. I think it fits a single pen of most sizes well, but two pens might be a little bit ambitious unless the pens or pencils are thin, like a Parker Jotter or a #2 wooden pencil. It is made very well, with tight stitching and no obvious blemishes in the material. It is very definitely made from genuine leather. I believe the style is what's called "ruined leather" - a kind of matte finish in bark brown. In time it should stretch a little and be more spacious for larger pens, but for now it's better suited for a single pen in my collection. It is well made, and it should last for decades with proper care.
