They hold thin sheet metal well . The heads do not strip out when using a screw gun

local ACE hdwr store wantes .15 cents per screw.! THIS is a MUCH BETTER OPTION.

I have been looking for these large-head sheet metal screws but I didn't know what they were called. Apparently, they are intended to mount metal lath (expanded metal grid) as a base for plaster or stucco, but I use them for general purposes. Strangely, they only come in #8 screw size (of several lengths), but this is a good, general purpose size. Recommended.
