If you’re looking for a rugged and reliable crimping tool for heavy-gauge cables, the CHANHYD TH0007 Hammer Crimper is an excellent choice. Whether you're an electrician, welder, automotive technician, DIYer, or working with industrial electrical connections, this tool provides strong, secure crimps on a wide range of cable sizes (10 AWG to 600 MCM).Build Quality & DesignRight out of the box, this tool feels solid and well-constructed. The high-carbon steel body is built to withstand high-impact crimping without bending or breaking. The strike plate is thick and durable, ensuring consistent crimps without deforming over time. The spring-loaded die is well-machined and precisely aligned, meaning you get a uniform crimp every time. The overall design is simple but effective, making it easy to use in tight spaces where traditional hydraulic crimpers might be too bulky.Performance & FunctionalityThis hammer crimper is perfect for heavy-duty electrical and battery cables. I tested it on #10, #4, and #0, and it produced clean, tight crimps with no splitting or deformation. The crimps are strong and professional-looking, ensuring a solid electrical connection with no risk of loosening over time. One of the standout features is its versatility—this tool handles a wide range of cable sizes, making it a great all-in-one solution for electrical work, battery cables, solar installations, and more.Ease of UseUsing this crimper is straightforward—just insert the lug, align it properly, and strike the tool with a hammer (a heavy mallet or sledgehammer works best for larger cables). Unlike some other manual crimpers that require a ton of hand strength, this one lets the hammer do the work, making it easier on your hands and wrists. The base is stable, which helps keep everything aligned during crimping, and the spring-loaded mechanism holds the lug securely in place for a precise crimp every time.Durability & LongevityAfter multiple uses, this tool shows no signs of wear or weakening. The heavy-duty construction ensures long-term durability, and with proper care, it should last for years of use. Unlike some hydraulic crimpers that require maintenance or can leak over time, this tool has no hydraulic parts that can fail, making it virtually maintenance-free.Value for MoneyFor the price, you’re getting a high-quality, heavy-duty crimping tool that competes with much more expensive options. If you work with large-gauge cables and need strong, reliable crimps, this is a fantastic investment.Final VerdictThe CHANHYD TH0007 Hammer Crimper is a must-have tool for anyone working with industrial or heavy-duty electrical connections. It delivers strong, secure crimps with minimal effort, is built to last, and is incredibly easy to use. Whether you’re a professional electrician, automotive technician, or DIYer, this tool is a game-changer for heavy-gauge cable work.✅ Pros:✔️ Heavy-duty steel construction for long-term durability✔️ Handles a wide range of cable sizes (10 AWG to 600 MCM)✔️ Easy to use—let the hammer do the work✔️ Produces clean, secure crimps with excellent conductivity✔️ No maintenance required—virtually indestructible❌ Cons:➖ Requires a heavy hammer or mallet for best results⭐ Overall Rating: 5/5 – Tough, reliable, and perfect for heavy-gauge crimping!

Works just as I need it to, but not like it does in the description. In the description, it says that it locks into place at the top. Mine doesn't, so either that is an inaccurate description, mine is faulty, or I just haven't figure it out. It is a pretty simple tool though. Also, there is some play/racking motion is the sliding piston. That motion doesn't easily allow me to pull this with one finger. If I had it clamped down I probably could, but otherwise I need to correct that racking with my thumb, and then slide it up with my finger. It is very easy at that point. It does make a nice crimp though. If I had to do a lot, I would choose a better tool, but for the few times I will use it, this will do just fine.

This is my go-to seller on Amazon and I love the consistent quality and stable pricing. Many other brands are trying hard to squeeze out money out of random sales, while established quality brands like this one deliver consistent pricing I can count on.

Used this backdrop for me and my brother’s sibling shoot. This backdrop served its purpose and it was amazing. The only hiccup was due to a white backdrop being sent first. The seller was amazing though and corrected the situation right away!
