My cat eats this and since she has been eating it is no longer throwing up multiple times per day.

I always buy this every month for my cat at a great price. It is a very necessary cat food my cat needs. And he loves the flavor.

Fast delivery. I read some reviews about cat food and Purina Pro Plan was highly rated. So I thought I’d give it a try. I’m using this as a preventative measure because as a life long cat owner I know urinary tract health is very important for cats especially as they age. I have 4 cats and I make most of their food from human grade meat and a supplement but like to have canned food in the house as a backup. To my surprise all 4 absolutely loved this food. My cats aren’t very fussy but there are some premium canned cat food they refuse to eat. So far all good.

We use both Pro Plan dry and canned urinary tract food formula for our 19-lb, white, adopted (from our local animal society) cat. Chloe is not obese, maybe a little overweight, but mostly she’s just big. Once a service person came into our house, looked at her, and asked, “Is that some kind of a special cat?” I laughed and answered, “No, she’s just a big girl!.” Anyway, we switched from another vet-recommended food that unfortunately we had unquestionably been using for many years. We decided to try Pro Plan dry food based on some really high Amazon reviews, and discovering the high protein content in the food. We gradually added increasing amounts to her older food and Chloe switched without problems & even seemed more energetic. She's approximately 12 years old. After her 2 urinary tract infection in a 6-month period, we started using Pro Plan urinary tract dry food, later adding their canned food formula for that condition. Although Chloe drinks frequently, she was still dehydrated at her last vet appointment, so in addition to their “drip” treatment, the vet recommended the addition of wet food. This is because, a cat (like Chloe) with potential pre-renal (kidney) failure, needs the addition of wet food to reduce constipation. The vet reported that a cat with a urinary tract infection will be in pain when trying to have a bowel movement, and so will try to NOT have the movement, often subsequently becoming impacted. To whatever extent possible, for as long as possible, we’ll try to avoid this problem by using the Pro Plan urinary tract food, with the addition of wet food to increase her fluid intake. We started with the chicken entrée, later bought a variety pack, and also purchased a turkey and giblet pate'. She clearly liked all of themOur only problem is that when eating wet food Chloe will only lick it, refusing to eat even the tiniest of firmer pieces. Even with the Pro Plan turkey and Giblet or the Beef & Chicken urinary tract pate’ food, we have to puree it first in our mini food processor. Ridiculous, but you know how cats are, and since she needs the addition of wet food for her health--to reduce potential for constipation-- my husband (the official puree’ person), does a 3 oz.can each day. We can puree all of the wet foods, but the pate’ food comes out smoother, so we decided to mainly use those, so far having tried the turkey & giblet pate' and the beef and chicken pate'. Presently we give Chloe 1/3 of a can 3 times daily as a supplement to her Pro Plan urinary tract dry food. After refrigeration, we microwave 1/3 of the can for about 14 seconds, and check it with our finger to make sure it’s not too thick or too hot anywhere. If too thick we microwave for about 5 seconds more, and if too hot, it cools enough in about 5 seconds with stirring. In addition to making the food softer, and more wet, the microwaved warmth probably helps with any bowel movements occurring after she “laps” up her pureed food. Chloe’s had no problems with bowel movements since we’ve been doing this, so it’s worth it. So far, she likes every Pro Plan food that we’ve given her, and as I’ve said in a prior review, my only regret is not having switched to Pro Plan sooner. Incredible, but after eating her warm pureed food, our previously non-playful old cat now hurries to her previously-ignored toys and favorite box, waiting for us to make the toys play hide-and-seek with her through the box flaps. Obviously she's feeling better and is happy with her Pro Plan regime!

CAT's FAVORITE!!!My 2 cat's LOVE this Pro Plan Focus Urinary Tract Health Turkey & Giblets. They each get 1/2 can every pm. It is their favorite food. Their second favorite is Pro Plan Focus Urinary Tract Health Chicken. They each get 1/2 can every am. I think this food is expensive for me to buy, but it is cheaper than taking my one cat to the vet with her bladder problems! And my vet said both my cats may be on Urinary Tract Health food, because they eat each other's food. They also eat Wysong Uretic and Dr Tim's dry foods, which are available to them at all times. On this food regime, they have had NO more bladder problems. Their fur coats have improved - so soft & shiny! AND also almost no hair balls!Thank you Purina Pro Plan for making the Focus line of Urinary Tract Health canned foods. (My cats would NOT eat Hill's Science Diet foods, so I had to find alternatives and some were not effective.) I am so grateful to Purina Pro Plan.
