The rain fly doesn’t have a way to secure itself around the bag so it slowly slips down while hiking and I can’t tell if the pockets are waterproof either. An awful thing to learn while hiking during a sudden rain storm.

The water bladder is difficult to close. The backpack is nice but the water bladder provided isn’t good, the seal doesn’t close. When they send it to you the seal isn’t closed, so they don’t have to deal with it either. I had to buy another water bladder for 18$ so that increased the cost of everything. If you can get another bag with a better water bladder you should, preferably something with a cap or screw.

I thought that I would have to return this backpack due to the shoulder straps gaping around my shoulders. As I had already gone to REI to look for a pack and not found one that fit properly, I really wanted for this pack to work.I decided to try a hike, with a full/heavy pack. This did the trick. The harness part now looks like it fits. Even better, it does fit my body. The added weight was all it needed to pull it down so that it fit right. Don't give up on this one; pack it like you mean to hike, or hike, and see if it does work for you.I wish it had pockets on the front waist belt and shoulder, that would improve this pack. Also, you can't reach the water bottle pockets if the pack is on. However, it does have a nice big bladder so for water while hiking it doesn't matter.

Bought this day pack to replace a larger bag that was really uncomfortable. This bag holds quite a bit and the water bladder has been leak free so far. It really kills me not to give this bag 5 stars because it's that close to being perfect but it lacks two key components that make a perfect bag. The first is that it doesn't have a dedicated spot for treking poles. There are several reviews of people using the side water bottle pockets as holders but I can see the treking poles ripping the mesh before too long. The larger packs have dedicated pole loops so It's obviously a feature they utilize. Not sure why they opted to not include them with this day pack. My biggest gripe, and one that almost made me not purchase this pack, is the waist belt. It's thin with zero padding. And when I say zero, I mean zero, it's just the strap with a buckle. I knew this going into the purchase. I'd give the pack 5 stars if they added a padded waist strap.
