I can’t recommend this bag enough!Lots of pockets, options to hang stuff from the exterior, two water bottle holders, and a bladder (which I typically remove 90% of the time anyways) which leaves a great pocket for keeping keepsakes such as passports, cash while traveling, and phones while we’re at the beach.I’ve taken this old boy on every trip with me since 2019. And he’s held up! Perfect for traveling - can fit a lot of stuff in this! I kid you not, my Central America trip was all out of this bag and this bag only. Which made backpacking the countries sooo much easier. With the many trips I’ve taken and mountains we’ve hiked. This bag is still wearing strong, with no blemishes.

If I had paid full price for this item, I would have returned it just because of the bladder. However, since I got it discounted and the (18L) bag is nice (sturdy, lots of pockets, good size), I'm getting a better bladder somewhere else.First, the opening is too small to easily dry this bladder (or make sure it dries fully in less than 48hrs). If you live in a dry climate, you might think you can air dry it with good ventilation, but the problem is two-fold. (1) the mouth is so small, that it doesn't allow much air to get in and circulate. You can put it upside down on a drying rack, but the water just pools at the top. (2) the top of the bag has a tiny channel between the edge of the bag and the cutout to suspend the bag in the backpack that water can actually go into (see photo). And there is no way to get in there and dry it. So while the bladder would work, I'd ask myself each time: is it REALLY worth using it, if I have to do all those extra steps to dry it, and keep checking on it, and turning it, and shoving a paper towel in there with two fingers? It is something that could be easily remedied with better design. At the full price-point this bag is listed for now (half a Franklin), there seem to be better options out there.

My only complaint is that the main compartment's zipper is hard to open & close because the flap over it is so stiff. Otherwise, it's holding up well and seems to be a great pack for fit and quality.
