Excellent dimmable thermostat for reptile terrarium. It is very easy to set up and it is accurate. There are two settings for day and night, which I find extremely useful for my ball pythons because I do like to give them a slight night time temperature drop. The LCD digital display shows current temp, set temp, and percentage energy used. This is great because sometimes I see it is only using 25% energy to maintain the temp, or on the really cold mornings when it is using 100%. If it's on 100% all day, then sometimes I decide to change to a stronger heating element/bulb. I also like how slim and unobtrusive this thermostat is. All my other ones are really bulky in comparison.The only fault I can find is the display. It is small and does not light up. It is like a basic calculator display and impossible to read in low light conditions. I use a separate flashlight to read it. But... if you like to control the lighting in and around your reptile enclosures, maybe you have a reptile room that you like to keep dark, you may appreciate that the display doesn't light up. Other than that, this thermostat is amazing. Great price and works fantastic.

I love set and forget timers for my tortoise enclosure and took the opportunity of building a new one as an excuse to get this one. For context I moved over from an industry famous one that’s likely been selling for a decade now.I really like this guy. The display is neat and bright and works well for me in the dark. It also doesn’t lose memory or bug out and the included probe is both accurate and improved over the plastic one I had that got quite a beating in its 4 years of use. My only issue would be that it hasn’t been long enough of a test for me to say I fully rely on these guy powering up and down the heat lamp it powers but 3 weeks in it hasn’t caused any issues (I check routinely with an infrared laser thermometer to make sure it gives consistent output and hasn’t budged past 76-78 where I want it to be.P.S- the included suction cup is junky but I didn’t need it since I don’t have a glass enclosure but that’s likely going to be the first thing to fail.So far so good!

I'm using this in a small grow tent for mycology (mushroom growing) and I have to have the temperatures between 70 and 75, I opt for about 72 just to make sure everything's comfortable. It's durable enough to use on a space heater but my tent is very small so I just use an actual reptile ceramic heat bulb. This thing's very easy to use and set. Functionality is great. And the sensitivity is awesome if it falls below my desired temperature kicks back on until it is the temperature I set it to be. Very good value for the money! I was going to get one that is for horticulture and mycology purposes but of course they want 20 more dollars than an actual reptile one and it does the exact same thing. Glad I found this one this one has been just what I needed. I definitely recommend this to anyone thinking of purchasing. Thank you for taking the time to read my review

I wish I could do 4.5 stars for this, because I really only have one complaint so far with it. I understand that it is going to not be able to keep time when it loses power and comes back on, as in it won't keep track of the time that passed while it was unpowered. But I wish that it would be able to remember the last time before it lost power and resume from there rather than defaulting back to 8:00 like it does. It has some storage as it will remember your temp settings. But if the power goes out in the middle of the night for 5 seconds and then comes back, this is going to resume at 8 AM and turn the heat back on in the middle of the night which is not correct.Aside from that though, the interface is primitive but simple enough to program with the instructions. It seems to work well and does what I expected from it so I really have no other issues with it!

This reptile thermostat is a game changer! I no longer have to worry about proper temperature in the enclosure for my leopard gecko. I set it for day and night, and it does the rest. It's truly impressive! It constantly monitors the temperature and shows the power meter. It is very easy to program particularly with the included instructions. My leopard is not overly hot at night now when the temperature should drop. It functions perfectly and I'm impressed! It also monitors the humidity level, which is a must for the leopard gecko.Highly recommend! I hope you find my review useful.
