I wasn't sure if an inexpensive thermometer would be OK, but this certainly is. Extending the arm turns it on, bending the arm back turns it off. It gives readings quickly and you can set it to F or C. There's a handy index of what temperatures foods should be.Easy to clean, just don't submerge it in water. The rear is magnetic, so I stick it on my fridge door.

Great instant read thermometer for a good price. I have used it a few times and feel it’s accurate, easy to read and seems sturdy. The probe has a fairly sharp end which would likely work well for piercing meats although I have only used mine for bread baking.

I really like this thermometer. First, there is no on and off button. Just pull the probe out and the thermometer is on. Push the probe in and the thermometer is off. I tend to leave my thermometer on in the drawer and this eliminates draining the battery. Numbers are bright and easy to see. Handle made to fit your hand. So, highly recommend.

Great for the price. Reads fast and I like the Auto shut off feature.

Works great, does the job & has an accurate temperature for the meat! Great price also, as well as waterproof for washing!
