Finding a good pen that you flat out love to use is difficult. This 8-pack of Pilot retractable gel pens are great pens, even for a left handed person like me. This pack of 8 has a good variety of colors - there are 4 black, 3 blue, and 1 red pen.The pen is weighted nicely, typical of any quality pen. I wrote some sentences with it, and was surprised and happy with how smoothly it wrote. Also, since I am left handed, I have a tendency to smear ink with the side of my left hand as I write. However, I am pretty sure the gel ink in this pen is quality and fast drying as well, because there was absolutely no smearing as I wrote.I am happy with these pens. This is a great pen to use at work. I honestly expected nothing of these, but I ended up liking the way they write (especially that they dry very quickly and don’t streak!) better than my old reliable UniBalls that I’ve used for decades… trust Japanese manufacturing to even take simple, affordable pens seriously, I guess!As you can see from the photos, there are 4 black, 3 blue, and 1 red pen in this set, and while I don’t have as much use anymore for the red, I can use it for notes around the house while keeping the black for signing papers/checks and the like.I like the grip of them. That is obviously quite subjective, but they are comfortable even as someone with arthritis in my hands that is pretty severe. The texture is pleasant, and they don’t get slippery or make my hands feel sweaty as some more rubberized pens have done in years past. I appreciate that they are REFILLABLE, too! They feel quite durable (not that I am doing anything with my pens that will likely break them though I’ve had some smash under a laptop or similar in a bag if they fall to the bottom).The biggest factor for me keeping, let alone recommending or buying more of a pen, though, is always and forever the ink, and these are top notch. The glide is slick like UniBall pros but these dry faster and don’t have any smearing which is a bit uncommon with this style of ink. They give the fine, precise strokes of old fountain pens but without any hassle or discomfort, so I am a fan! The affordable price (at least they seem affordable for the quality by my standards) makes them a top contender for anyone wanting a pen they won’t feel bad about losing or sharing but will enjoy the precise writing quality of as much as their most expensive ones. If I were still in university or a similar setting that required extensive note taking, this would easily be my go-to (like I said, I used UniBalls which were 3x this price 20+ years ago, and these dry faster and write just as well, so it seems Japanese manufacturing has again won my heart).

Love these pens! They write super smooth and crisp. Comfortable grip for long note taking sessions. No issues with bleed through at all.

Tactile experience is great. It flows nicely. Not completely as smooth as some other gel pens I've used but there's little resistance and the matte-type finish provides a nice hand experience. The quality of the ink is also good; writes well, works well, looks good. I enjoy these G2 pens and am highly pleased with their performance. You can't go wrong with these.

Very good quality pens. The ink flows effortlessly. I tested all pens and they all worked. I usually only buy Medium point pens since my hands tend to shake a bit while writing, but there fine point were comfortable to hold and easy to use. . There’s four black, three blue and only one red in this color variety pack. Good quality and value.

I always love having grades on paper in addition to having them online. It is super helpful when technology goes down and a student wants to know their grade. It is pretty and sturdy.

The book is great. Nice size. I can’t find a grade book that meets my needs perfectly but I made this work.This works be best as an attendance book.
