I bought this M-Tac bottle on recommendation, not expecting much, but BOY was I Surprised! Made hot coffee at 6:30 AM. It was still Steaming hot when I had some at 10:30, and for lunch at 1:00, and finished it off for break at 3:00 PM, still Steaming hot! Next week temp will be in the 90's and I'll see how it does with iced tea! Very Pleased. Highly Recommended!

Bought these for an 40lb escape artist dog. I found the hoop side of the latch to be very difficult to attach to the crate - doable, but difficult. Of the three I used, all three ended up breaking after a month of daily usage. Each broke on the hook side of the latch. I may have stretched them too tight, but not outside the realm of reasonable.Bottom line: the latches do work, as they are intended. They’ll keep metal crate doors closed; They do what they are supposed to. They are really difficult to attach to the crate and if you stretch them too tight (and use them daily), they will break.

For the scale of the item, see my photo of all pieces separated, next to a standard 12 oz mug.This container is perfect for taking lunch to work if you don't have the means to warm your food, but you prefer a hot lunch. It's rugged, and comes with the convenience of an ingenious, built-in, folding spoon.In order to determine how long food would remain hot and safe to eat, I did a test with boiling water. Assuming that the container was about room temperature at the start, and it was stored in a 70 degree F environment thereafter, I poured half a liter of boiled water into the container, then sealed it up. The liquid registered at 203 F on my instant read thermometer at that time.After letting some time pass, I took some temperature readings and fit the readings to a logarithmic cooling curve. If my estimates are correct, this container will keep boiled water above 140 F (and out of the danger zone) for 5 hours and 45 minutes. According to the USDA, food is theoretically still safe to consume for another two hours after that. So, if your food starts out over 203 degrees F, it appears you're safe for over 6 hours, with some wiggle room. That's a long time. **Don't rely on my calculations, though.** The times can vary depending on starting conditions and storing conditions, so please practice good food safety for the sake of your health.I can say that I've used this to store food for four hours and it was at a good temperature for eating.The top of the jar gets noticeably warm; this is where most of the heat loss is happening. Be aware of that. I used this not only to carry lunch, but also to bring ice to work for iced coffee and tea. It's great for both uses.
