Affordable option KVM with major annoyances - The price was right to get my two laptops to share a screen but the big issue that I've been having is with the usb ports on this device. I'm currently using 2.4 ghz usb receiver devices for both my keyboard and mouse. The ports keep disconnecting for both while in use very frequently - it's super annoying and so tempted to send this back. I could see this being a bigger issue for people copying files from their computer to a usb attached device with damage to a usb device or even file corruption. So just be aware of this before you buy.

This dual KVM switch is just what I needed to connect both of my computer to the same devices. The switch provides connections to monitors, keyboard, mouse for two computers and has a dedicated controller to switch between the two computers. The device works as intended and is easy to set up.

If you don't want to use a remote, but you want a button you can place in a specific area, then this thing is perfect. Haven't tried 8k, but it handles 4k perfectly, and has been for a couple weeks now, unlike some other cheap kvm's I've tried.

This KVM switch has been a game changer at work. I got it because I have a 3 monitor, 2 laptop setup, and as such I wanted both laptops to be able to share the center external monitor whenever necessary. This switch allows me to connect both laptops to the same external monitor, and all I have to do to control which laptop is connected is click one of the two buttons on the switch (one on the unit and the other connected to a longer wire). The KVM switch has made this process very easy, although it does take a while to switch between the two laptops, it is not an instantaneous transition. This may be because of my laptops and monitor though, rather than the fault of the switch.One cool feature is that it seems to be powered over HDMI. I was expecting to connect a separate power connector, but once I connected the laptops and external monitor via HDMI, it lit up and started working. It also supports USB device switching, and may require a separate power supply for this feature.Overall this is a very useful device and I highly recommend it!

I have two laptops I use on a daily basis, one for work and one for personal home tasks. This is a nice option to keep on my desk so I can easily switch and use one monitor, keyboard, and mouse setup between the two.There's a physical switch on the box and there's a wired controller for it too, just in case you have a setup where the cables as such are kept under or behind your desk. This is a great device if you have multiple devices but you don't want to go through the hassle of connecting and disconnecting accessories or don't want to have to invest in individual accessories for each device.
