As I replace plastic containers with glass, I'm finding that mason jars can be very handy. I especially love the wide mouths on these and have been using them to store soup in the refrigerator. I purchased smaller ones also and keep nuts and seeds and other salad toppers in them. The bonus is that they look very neat in the kitchen and can be kept out therefore - easy access.

I am going to use the Mason jars for storing leftovers in my refrigerator. They take very little room and I can see exactly what's in them. I will order the pretty lids from Amazon as they are very reasonably priced. I am happy with my purchase!

Although they are not all the same height and thus probably do not hold exactly the same amount (although I did not test that), I am keeping them since they will work for what I need (storing dry ingredients and leftover soups). The tallest one will not even fit in the same drawer with the others.

Typical Mason jars. Gets the job done. I use them to help keep fruit and vegetables for a longer time frame. Works great.
