The cards are very helpful for learning new words or just refreshing your memory. The quality is excellent. The box they are is not bad . What would be nice is a holder for say 5-10 cards that could be kept in your pocket .

My wife has been trying to teach my son Chinese, which is not easy. So I ordered these flash cards for her to see if they would help. The package comes with 218 different cards divided into 10 topics: Greetings, questions, place, numbers, date & time, colors, transportation, food & drinks, adjectives, and verbs. Each card is very colorful and contains several parts. On the front of each card you have the Pinyin spelling of the word, the English spelling of the word, the simplified Chinese spelling of the word, the traditional Chinese spelling of the word, and an example of the word used in a sentence. On the back of each card you have the simplified Chinese spelling of the word and the traditional Chinese spelling of the word. My wife loves these flash cards. My son has already learned several words by using them. You will not be a fluent Chinese speaker just from learning 218 words, but this will give you an excellent foundation to build on, and it can also help you if you are traveling in a Chinese-speaking country.
