Vandroop 51mm Espresso Tamper, 25-35lbs AdjustableI am just starting to get into making espresso, and the machine I have uses a 51mm portafilter. This fit correctly and seems to do the job of tamping well. I like that you can dial in a tamping pressure. You do need to be careful as you decrease the adjustment, if you go a little past it's lowest setting, it will pop apart unexpectedly.

My wife is slowly getting into espresso making, and this replaces the plastic tamper (a combination scoop/tamper) that came with the espresso machine she has. Compared to that plastic tamper, it’s night and day - this tamper is much heavier, providing good, consistent and adjustable pressure. The adjustments are easy to make, and the resulting coffee grounds are packed very evenly and nice and tight. This tamper has a premium look and feel to it, solid construction, good weight but easy to handle, a big step-up from that plastic tool.

I am newish to making espresso, and have tried a handful of tampers- this one is my favorite so far. I love that you can adjust the pressure internally and get the nice click sound when it has been pressed down. It takes a lot of the guesswork out of it, and you don't have to press as hard because of the spring mechanism inside.The look and construction of this piece are beautiful- excellent build all around.Here's to more coffee and better espresso! ☕

This tamper is very satisfying to use. It has a nice heft to it and feels comfortable to hold. The tamper also has a deep click when optimal pressure is met.
