I purchased this foot pedal as a replacement pedal for a cabinet that has a pressure pot. I’ve seen some reviews that says it won’t work with a cabinet or the holes are too small, etc. That is not the case, but I think it can depend on what kind of blast cabinet configuration you may have. I have a professional grade cabinet that I use to sandcarve ceramic, glass, wood and rock. My cabinet has a pressure pot and pressure regulator. It may not work for siphon systems or other configurations.I purchased this pedal to replace a worn out pedal. I reused my original pedal’s hoses and connectors and did not use the ones included with the purchase pedal. I typically blast ceramic and glass at 30-32 psi and usually go up to about 45-50 pounds for decorative rocks. This pedal works great for such applications. I hope this review helps you determine if it is the pedal for you. Make sure you understand how a pedal should work for you specific sandblast cabinet configuration.

The single inlet port and two outlet ports are arranged in an equilateral triangle on the forward face of the pedal. The spacing is OK for the small push-to-connect fittings included but is too close for standard female 1/4" quick connects. This was very frustrating. I almost returned it.I was also surprised that stepping down CLOSES the valve. Releasing the lock and allowing the pedal to rise opens the valve. My plan was to use this pedal to periodically blast sawdust away while cutting with jigsaws or drilling. I made it work by connecting my air compressor hose to a pressure regulator with a standard quick connect, then using push-to-connect 1/4" poly hose from the regulator to the pedal and from the pedal to my tools. The poly hose is much lighter weight and more flexible, so although I believe that any pneumatic tool should accommodate quick connects, this tool forced me to consider what in the end was a better solution. You'll need a 1/4" plug if you plan to use only one of the exit ports. Also, you can close the valve without fully depressing (locking) the pedal, so it's possible to pulse periodic air blasts without cycling the locking mechanism.

I bought this and intended to control the Airflow on my Harbor Freight blast cabinet. I took one look at the size of the airways and realized this this will never provide sufficient CFM (airflow). It looks and feels well built and will likely serve another, low cfm, purpose well.
