Found thigh high nylons. They did not stay up. The garter that is at your waist and has to stay put works to hold them up. The two dresses i have tried with this garter have fuller skirts and thicker material. I have no idea if the garter clips would show through (as bumps) with the nylon/knit dresses I have. But, anyway, it holds the thigh highs up and they are infinitely more comfortable than pantyhose where the crotch is about an inch too short.

I like to wear thigh-highs in late summer early fall as you get great air circulation under your dress and I always feel a little sexier with them on. These are well constructed just a little different with the strap placement. If you've ever worn six strap garter belts then essentially this wears just like a six strap only minus the rear straps. Typically most four strap belts have two in the front and two in the rear, but this belt has two in the front and two on the sides. I didn't have any issue with the lack of rear straps, but the thigh highs I was wearing did have a silicone band so they naturally stay up. Wearing these with a true nylons would probably have a little issue for the back of the stocking. At any rate I found them to be well constructed and they have sturdy metal clasps. Do note however the metal clasps stick out quite a bit so this wouldn't work at all with tighter or bodycon dresses as the straps would easily transmit through even the thickest fabric. Also order by measurements not by tag size.
