The first arrived with a broken cap (inside box) that covered the gas mechanism that lifts the chair. Wasn't sure if the chair would still be functional, but put it together anyway. Very quickly I could see that the adjustable height function wouldn't work at all which includes not locking at a certain height. What a shame. Because I dig the design I tried again, replaced with exact same product. The black plastic collar that fits onto the seat base wasn't manufactured wide enough to fit so I had to take it from the other nonfunctional one. This 2nd one also won't hold height, but to be different, it will sink when you sit on it and rise to the highest height without any weight on it. To add to the fun, it is near impossible to separate the rod that fits into the base so putting it back in the box it came ain't gonna happen. But, if you wanna overpay for a gorgeous looking new stool that doesn't function, here you go.***What a shame, I was prepared to LOVE this thing & give a 5 star review. Customer service for the company is just a phone that rings forever and finally you can leave a voicemail, but they don't get back to you. sigh

I got this to use it as a proper seat more than a leaner, and I adore it! It wiggles just the perfect amount for me to swing my hips as I'm working on something or just reading/listening to music. My one minor, minor complaint would be that it's a little tall for me even at the lowest setting, but I can still touch the floor with my tip-toes, so it's fine!Watch out for the shifting up function, I almost bashed my face, lol. And you'll need to put some weight/power into bringing it back down. Nothing major if you're not weak like me, lol.It's probably one of my favourite chairs I've owned, and I've tried a fair few.

It seems to be sturdy and is quite comfortable to sit on, But when I sit on it while its raised up, it will slowly lower itself until it is all the way down. This is the ONE thing this chair needs to do and it fails. 0/10 would not recommend. Returning.

I bought 2 of these chairs and they were easy to assemble and looked fine initially BUT they quickly started sinking instead of holding the desired height. I was preparing to return them (BTW hard to remove seat) and took a closer look and realized that inside the seat receiver, the distance from the push fingers to the shoulder was too close causing the release button to be pressed and therefore the seat to sink. I bought a .46 cent plastic washer [1/2" ID x 7/8" OD x 1/8" thick] placed it over the release button (see pics), replaced the seat and voila! They now work great! Since the product has a good price I think its worth the little add on...

I love this stool. Yes, it's a little tall for a desk of regular height and with a bit of practice it gets easier. I'm 5'5" so it might be easier for me to do that than a taller person. I don't know. The stool keeps me in a better position so my back doesn't get sore and I stay more alert and focused.The cushion for the bum is uncomfortable because it is hard, but I'll trade that for a sore back any day. This stool is so much better for my posture that I'm super happy I bought it. I'm waiting for my standing desk to be delivered that I bought to go with it. Right now I'm using it with a traditional style desk and I think it's great.
