Been playing smooth jazz sax for 35 years and this is by far the best mouthpiece I've ever played! VERY flexible; bright with PLENTY of projection when needed yet can easily be played soft and whisper quiet. Shank is a little narrow so had to use a lot of cork grease for it to fit where I needed it, but that's no problem, just an observation. Another sax player knocked on my practice room door and asked, "you playing a new metal mouthpiece"? So, I showed him the mouthpiece; talk about shell shock! He's about to go online and get one for his tenor! The great thing about this piece is its flexibility, something I could never find with any metal piece I'd played.I'm using a regular Rico "H" ligature at the moment until the Syos ligature arrives and I'll see how that goes once it's here.UPDATE. The Syos Ligature has arrived, but unlike the mouthpiece, I'm a little on the fence with the ligature. It's a solid 3D printed sleeve that slips over the mouthpiece (also 3D printed BTW) and reed, no screws. While the tone wasn't affected when compared to the Rico H ligature I had been using, there is one issue: after playing solidly for 30 minutes, if you want to remove the sleeve ligature it's a royal pain! I'm not sure if it's the reed swelling during playing but the fit gets VERY tight, and you almost have to fight trying to remove the ligature between sets - For 35 years I've ALWAYS removed the mouthpiece, reed and ligature between sets, and it's always worked so not about to change my routine that's worked for one mouthpiece and ligature. I'm probably going back to my trusted Rico H ligature because I couldn't detect any difference in the sound or tone when using it and I don't have to fight the set up between sets. The mouthpiece itself however is a keeper!! Best I've EVER played on!

If you’re looking for a punchy bright sound, you’ll love this mouthpiece. Even my altissimo notes are easier to play.

I bought a Steady for my tenor a few months ago and I really love it. So I decided to get another Syos for my alto. On the alto I was looking for a really bright and punchy sound so I got this Spark and it's awesome! It's way more easy to play than my old Dukoff, I'm really happy.

This mouthpiece I only had a few hours and im impressed with it. I played almost 3 hours today I never practice that long the sound was amazing and I was not fatigued at all well If anything change after I have it a while I will change my rate but so far 5 star.

When I first tried the Syos Spark 7 mouthpiece, I was amazed at the power and tone. Altissimo notes are a breeze. After playing my Selmer Mark VI for over 50 years, it is like I just woke up the new possibilities with my sax and the Syos mouthpiece! It costs less than my metal jazz setup, and sounds better. Good Job Syos!
