I decided not to return these bulbs (I ordered 2) because they still work fine and I need the light, but these are NOT Reflector bulbs. They are regular 45W, R20, 130V bulbs. They do still dim properly, but compared side-by-side, the light from these is not as bright as the actual Reflector bulbs. Pictured is my old Reflector bulb with the silver coating (left), and one of the bulbs I received with no Reflector coating (right).

I thought the reflector spot bulb was going to silver coating around the outside of the bulb.

Will work with 'old technology' dimmers. Yes, it is not the stark cold white light - but softer.Yes, it uses more power and is more expensive and has a shorter life - works for me!I am not upgrading the dimmer to be abler to use LED lamps in order to keep pace with continually evolving (not always improving) technology!Happy the our government 'overseers' have not yet required manufacturer discontinuance.
