This is the only litter I use . I have been using it since 2004 with my first 2 cats . I have 3 currently. It leaves no smell in your house ( unless your cat doesn’t cover its poop ) easy to scoop once the clumps have formed . Wait until the are forced don’t try to scoop freely peed litter . It will break up . It can get a bit mess outside the box if you have a car that likes to kick . It’s not bad if you have covered boxes like Booda Domes etc … the clumps are flushable but I do recommend breaking them up . And for full litter changes just dispose in regular trash . I don’t find a smell to it . It’s wheat based . It doesn’t leave yours smelling like clay or anything gross either .

I’m not a reviewer but if my comments can help someone else who is hesitating make the switch to a natural litter, I’ll be happy.A natural litter is better for the environment, the interior of the home, and especially for cats since they lick their paws and the residue from conventional litter can eventually accumulate in, and clog up their intestines in dangerous ways. (This situation may even happen to a dog who is living with a cat’s litter.) This litter is made from nothing but wheat, but it performs excellently, even in my two-kitty household. Clean the box regularly, keep the litter topped up at a decent level, and you won’t have any problems or regrets. A bag lasts a very long time and even I feel better touching and being around the small amount of dust that naturally occurs in any litter.Other not-so-obvious highlights: extremely sturdy bag, wide opening so it’s easy to scoop, conveniently resealable, and prompt delivery.Note: if you are transitioning your cat and find the cat tasting the litter at the beginning, don’t be worried: it’s completely safe and normal, and will stop very shortly. I speak from experience. Also, it’s purely personal preference, but I find that this litter works the best with the large Cat It scoop, the one with the round holes rather than the slats.

This is some seriously amazing stuff! First off, there is no smell. And I mean. No smell. When I walked in the door with clay litters you may not smell kitty byproducts but you still smell the ‘litter’. This stuff, you walk in the door and don’t even know I have cats! The other thing is the flushable option. Carrying super heavy bags of used litter to the bin every week was the one thing I hated about having fur babies. Now, the litter box is beside the toilet and I clean it every time I am in there! Both kitties use the same box because it’s always clean!Use a metal scoop as it is sturdier and a mat to catch the spillover which I needed with clay litter anyway.Never mind no longer needing plastic bags for litter, not nearly as much dust and the environmental impact is nothing comparatively. The clay would stick to my babies feet and they would have to work to get it out while the wheat is no problem at all.I will absolutely continue to buy this litter-it just makes my home fresher and my 2 kitties took to it right away!

This is expensive compared to other cat litters. I buy it at about 80 cents per pound. You can see it at much more than that sometimes, but just don't buy at much more than 80 cents a pound. Sometimes I buy it at 90 cents per pound. Check Petco, it's often a little cheaper there than on Amazon, if you buy 25 pounds or 40 pounds at a time. However, it's really good. I have no problems whatsoever with odor. (I clean the litter box every 2-3 days, but I don't throw out all the litter, I just clean the dirt out. Only every 2 weeks do I throw out all the litter and renew it.) It clumps just fine. It has no clay, which is good for the cat and good for the environment. I use compostable plastic bags (easy to find on Amazon) to put the dirt in, so what I put into the trash is 100% compostable.I have used it for one and a half years. I recommend it.

BUGS!I purchased this product for my kitten because it didn't contain chemicals and because I wanted to transition to toilet training. The product hardly clumps at all, as everything settles to the bottom of the pan. I guess this product was "too natural" because my kitten started eating it and would not stop despite my efforts. To make matters worse, after just one day of using this product, I noticed tiny black flying/jumping bugs similar to a knat or small fruit fly surrounding the litter pan and in other areas of my home. I researched the product and discovered I'm not the only one reporting this! It's great that it's a natural product, but the bug issue is DISGUSTING and needs to be addressed by the company instead of them denying responsibility!
