I bought these to save a little money over the "name brand" offerings. In a perfect world were all the planks were perfectly straight and perfectly flat, these would probably work well. I ended up buy the more expensive style that had metal portions that fit into the grooves in each composite board. They cinched the boards down well. These are all a plastic material and some of these broke in the same situation. I did use them sparingly in combination with the others and they worked well. I still saved a bit of money.

Ordered these Hidden Deck Fasteners, 150 Pcs Composite Deck Screws to use on a front porch of a tiny home I am building this spring. I have not used a similar product before so it is hard for me to give much of a comparison. The price seems comparable with box store offerings but if you have a significant amount of decking to do then buying gin bulk is a much better deal. These came in a plastic box with the screws already attached. Wish I could provide better feedback but based on an examination of the product and cost I think a 4 star review is fair. As it is winter can't use them in a timely manner.

I have used this type of deck clip before. These clips have small screws and are easy to snap the head off or strip the screw. Using screw gun with clutch set properly is important. The clip does leave a good size gap but this only gives the deck better air circulation.
