There was a gap between the front doorknob and door that I wanted to cover. I wasn't able to find a matching scar plate at local hardware stores and this one worked perfectly and looks good with the satin nickel doorknob.

This scar plate was a lifesaver! For days, I'd been struggling with a misaligned door lock on a rental property that I was preparing for a new tenant. The plate works as expected and looks good with my stainless steel doorknob. Wish I knew there is only one in the package. I don't know about you but my door has 2 sides. Now I have to wait another week to get the 2nd one. So overall happy but also disappointed, hence only 4 stars.
