It's a nice hat. Since they size these as large, xl, xxl and so forth, I had to guess which size would fit my big head. 7-3/4, but the xxl I ordered is a little loose. They should stick with actual hat sizes. It is Stetson after all. Plus it showed up covered with dust like it had been sitting out on a shelf in a warehouse. I brushed it off and it's okay so I'll wear it. Looks nice.

This is a great hat for summers in south Texas! I’ve spent thousands of dollars over the past 40+ years trying to find a good work hat! These are light weight, hold up in the wind, allow air to pass thru to help keep you cool, and they look great! Only drawback: they only last about a year before they start coming apart. Worth every penny!

XXL fits great. I wear 7 3/4 or European 62. The depth is also adequate. Excellent quality. I have two and it is practical for outside work in the sun and fancy enough for occasions with more style consciousness. The vents in the crown allow air circulation. The cloth sewn under the crown and brim make it sunproof, unlike some straw hats. Highly recommended!

I was a little leery to order this hat as there were some reviews that were critical of the packaging and a couple of folks received hats that were damaged by shipping. I received my Stetson Airway Panama hat today in a specially designed box for hats and in PERFECT condition. I am thrilled at the fit, I wear a 7 7/8 and the XXL fit perfectly. The Guinness Book of World Records has been hounding me to appear in the annual book as I apparently have the World's Largest Head (R.I.P. Andre the Giant) and this is the best fit I have ever had. It fits perfectly on my head, not too low or too high for my taste. I fully expect a film career to develop from my first public wearing of this hat and I am taking autograph pre-orders for the low, low price of $5! Truly, all the good things I said are absolutely true, just wanted to provide some balance to those who had a less pleasant experience.

I am really thrilled with this Stetson hat. You couldn't ask for a better-looking and better-made summer hat. The style is great, and the sturdy construction is definitely Stetson quality. The leather hatband gives it a more rugged, Western look than most Panama hats. The brim is very wide, which is a plus if you're looking for sun protection. And it really does breathe and keep your head cool. I agree with some of the other reviewers that this hat seems to run a bit large, so you might consider ordering a size smaller than normal. I bought my normal size but ended up adding some extra padding along the sides of the inside lining to make it fit more snugly. Still, this is the perfect summer hat.
