I recently purchased the StarBlue 10 Inches Cast Iron Tortilla Press, and it has exceeded my expectations right from the unboxing. The first thing I noticed was the sturdy build quality, with a robust cast iron construction that promises durability and even pressing. The packaging was secure and neat, as shown in the first photo, ensuring that the product arrived in perfect condition. Setting it up was incredibly easy, and it was ready to use almost immediately. The user-friendly design is perfect for beginners and seasoned cooks alike, making it simple to create perfectly pressed tortillas. The press also comes with 100 pieces of oil paper and an e-book with recipes, adding great value to the purchase. This tortilla press has quickly become an essential tool in my kitchen, making the process of making homemade tortillas both easy and enjoyable.

I orginally was going to give this a 2 star review and return it. it could make thick stubby tortillas, but that's it. I even had it packed in the box and ready to go. I couldn't get my flour tortillas very flat at all compared to hand rolling them with a rolling pin. I was super disappointed because my family likes homemade burritos at least once a week and hand rolling tortillas is time consuming and kind of hard to do. It was so heavy I delayed returning it. Good thing I delayed because I figured I'd give it one more chance.I looked up a new recipe that was heavy on the oil/lard and made a softer sticker dough than I was used to. If you hand roll then you know you can't have a sticky dough. It's the opposite with this, a stickier dough will simple flatten super thin. I now just add more water than i did before (almost half a cup water to one cup flour). its very sticky but will flatten nicely. My dough will actually squish out the sides without much effort. But you absolutely need the parchment paper! i also spray the paper with oil to make the squishing even better. If this thing came with a recipe book (like advertised) it might save people from using much drier recipes that simply don't work in a press.Another tip to work with the stick dough is to definitely use the parchment paper it comes with. after flattening only peel the top paper off. Slap the dough into your frying pan with the other paper still on, let it cook for a few seconds then peel off the remaining paper. It's pretty fun and effective. The bolt holding things together doesn't seem that sturdy BUT you don't need to press so hard it would break ... and it would be very easy to replace from a hardware store. I like this better than seem custom part that might be stronger but impossible to easily replace. This thing has turned into probably my favorite purchase all year.UPDATE: I've been using this a lot, and another tip is if you are only getting about 80% of the flattening done and getting the last bit is hard, just take it out of the press (with the parchment paper) and finish the flattening with a rolling pin. The press is easy to get the first 80% done, a rolling pin is pretty easy to get the last 20% done (if needed, maybe your dough is too dry or springy)
