I purchased this to use at home as a supplement to the routine at the gym. Its everything I expected and more. Easy to assembly (once you study the diagram) , easy to use and so easy and convenient to store if you don't have a lot of space. I wouldn't recommend it to a very large man or someone really tall but it works for me at 5ft 5 in. and 135 lbs. The only thing I think could be improved upon are the assembly instructions its just a diagram. A video would be very helpful. Overall, its a great piece of equipment for the fitness buff, reasonably priced and very sturdy. Yes, I would recommend purchasing it.

Works great even for my 6 foot 6 frame as well as my girlfriend at 5”5. Very sturdy and stable.

Although the package arrived as though it was dragged behind the truck to get here and taped together as an afterthought, the workout bench arrived with all piece intact/unharmed and all the nuts/bolts/etc kept together in a convenient red plastic bag to differentiate from all other plastic wrappings. The first thing to do is toss out all but one of the "tools" they kindly provide. Use those and I guarantee this will take you hours instead of the 20 minutes it took me. I used one of the hex tools as an anchor as I tightened the bolts with my own wrench and used my own drill/screwdriver. Unlike other reviewers, all the pieces matched up and all holes aligned so perhaps others were factory flaws or quite possibly user error (if you tighten everything as you go, you won't have much wiggle room to align all the pieces, natch). The instruction manual may be overwhelming for people who are used to IKEA instructions, but once you take a deep breath and find your zen space, it's all deliriously straightforward. As for the product itself: It feels stable and solid. I am 5'7" and 145-150lbs and am confident this will keep me off the ground even with 10-15 pound dumbbells. Anyone heavier I cannot vouch for. The bench is narrow so you have to be sure you're centered before starting sit-ups, but this is also a minimal to no concern.Similar to another reviewer, I don't trust the one main drop-pin that keeps the entire thing from collapsing on itself, so I just wrapped a rubber band around it and the main support beam to secure it for the movement that is expected on this bench. Padding is decent, I'm sure more expensive products have thicker foam, but I also don't need to add anything to the bench for added comfort. The thing I like the most about this compared to other ab/hyper benches I've seen is how easily it folds up and can be tucked away in my limited space apartment. Definitely one of the strongest features. The bench is admittedly short, especially if you're taller than 5"5', so don't expect to be able to lie on it for bench-presses (if you absolutely need that, you might want to shell out some extra cash and spring for the ). I don't mind keeping my core engaged by using my legs as supports when I do light dumbbell-presses, but that's a personal choice and at your own risk. I don't think enough is said about the bench portion of the product, which can also be declined for more intense reps. Overall, this little guy is still perfect for rows, seated curl-ups, 1-legged squats, incline push-ups, bench push-ups, and dips.I'm thrilled with how many different gym workouts I can now do in the privacy of my own home without having to pay massive amounts in gym memberships fees just to get into a crowded fitness room. And when is all said and done, I can pull out two pins, fold it all up, and tuck it away! Note: I haven't put much mileage on it so I will update this review if it begins to disappoint.

I received the package in the time frame it was promised- which was very promptly. The package was sturdy. Not too heavy but heavy enough to know this was a good quality item.Directions were easy to read. It took me 40 mins to assemble - by myself. The time also included a good 10-15 mins on tightening the bolts. I recommend using two socket wrenches. I am 5'3" and 100 lbs.The reason I give it 4 stars is because- there are four screw holes on the underside of the bench- that are mensch to go into these rails. Only 3 of the four fit. The fourth hole (on under side of bench) was out of alignment. This makes the bench somewhat shaky. I might contact the seller and ask for exchange on bench (part only - so I don't have to take entire bench apart).Be aware that the bolts, washers and etc are oiled - and can leave a brownish reddish residue. Was a non issue for me.I like that you can move around the two cushion pieces that go along ur calves. Makes it easy to adjust- as I use to 1) lay on the bench with my legs under them for crunches (and the bench can be adjusted to incline downward for more resistance), 2) stand forward for back hyper and 3) stand sideways for oblique workouts. It was very important for me to find a hyper bench that had a standing for your feet- bc I was looking for one that I could do oblique workout on. As one reviewer mentioned- it's possible - but takes some getting used to.I did my obliques on there- but felt that if I was any taller- I wouldn't feel comfortable doing so- as it still felt awkward for my size- but I do feel in my case it's just soenthing I need to get used to.When I laid back to do crunches- my head touched within a couple inches of the end of the bench. So if you're much taller than I- you may plan on having your head exceeding the end of the benchOverall- I feel like it's a great bench- especially for the price. It's really versatile, easy to adjust- works great for someone my size- and - I'll update you - if I decide to contact seller regarding switching out the bench.

I've regularly worked out for many years at many gyms and can say I've "seen them all" when it comes to commercial quality gym equipment. I bought this bench primarily for the roman chair (back hyperextension) exercise capability since I'm very prone to back problems when I do not exercise regularly. The ab and compaction features were only added benefits that intrigued my wife.To start, this is not commercial quality, but it is not $500+ either. It is however extremely well made and much more solid than I was expecting. All the components are a well powder coated steel and the thing definitely has some weight to it. It all came well packaged and was put together in about 20 minutes. A 17mm socket and wrench go a long way to speeding things up versus the included wrenches.I found the padding to be more than adequate and comfortable. It is firm to give support yet thick enough to be comfortable. I found there was also enough room around the "man area" but I know from past experience to situate the thigh pads just below your waist for optimal comfort and use. I've had to use towels over the pads at some gyms but not needed here. Time will tell on the stitching durability but I'm not concerned - seems good to me.One feature that appealed to me was the steel foot plates, as opposed to grip strips glued to the foot rests of other makes/models. Glad I focused on that because it's a simple oversight one can make. I was worried that the ankle support would not my legs in place but it surprisingly works quite well and is again comfortable.I'm 6'-1", 190 lbs and the system feels reasonably sturdy (again, for the price). It does wobble a tiny bit while I get myself situated but is stable once I'm actually on it. I was concerned my head might hit the floor during ab exercises due to the relatively short bench but again, turned out to be ok for me. Anybody taller might need to kink their neck just a tad assuming you elongate fully during reps. I wouldn't say it is long enough to take a nap on between sets, but it's long enough for me.All in all, great product and fairly priced. I'd recommend in a heartbeat. By the way, I ordered from Rock Bottom Golf and received within a matter of a few days (beat the Amazon estimate by nearly a week!)
