Often you get what you pay for, but for this multitool I feel like it punches a bit above its weight. I'm a diehard Leatherman fan and it's pretty easy to spot the comparison to their version, this multitool feels like a blend of a Wave and a Free P4. You don't get the nice over-the-top features of these Leatherman tools (not all tools are accessible with one hand only - like the Free P4 offers), you don't get the nice smooth operation of a very well crafted tool (I had to adjust the Torx screws myself because this multitool was too tight and couldn't be opened when I received it), but for $45 the price when I bought it), well, it's a good tool.I'll probably never swap my Leatherman with it, but as a spare in my car? Yeah, totally worth it.

I've been messing around with this thing for a couple of days, and it's hard to find much fault with it. The biggest thing against it is simply that it's not a known brand so it's maybe not a great gift. However, if you just want it for yourself, it really has everything. It comes with a nice case with a separate pouch for a bunch of screwdriver heads, and the tool itself is solid and hefty. It opens up to basically be a set of pliers, and all the other tools, knives, scissors, saw, openers, etc, are tucked into one side of the handle or the other. You're not going to be able to bring this through security, but if you need a multi-tool for around the house or on a camping trip, I don;'t see how you can go wrong with this. It basically has everything except a corkscrew (but I bet you could find a way to open a bottle with the rest of the tools)

I got this multitool to replace a similar Gerber one that was taken by TSA (I didn't realize it was in my backpack). I have been using it on at least a weekly basis for the last 2 months and so far I think I actually like this one better than my old multitool. It various knives are very sharp out of the box. I like that this has a screwdriver bits even though I don't plan to use that very often. I also find the locking mechanism is easier to use. The multitool and driver bits fit perfectly in the provided case.I do wish they would not specifically state this as a gift for men. Surprisingly, it can by used by men, women, sons, daughters, or whoever. Obviously, be careful with knives and use this tool safely and responsibly. I am giving this multitool 4 stars because it is meeting my expectations based on the product description.

If you’re in the market for a lower priced multitool that can be stowed in a small space, this might be for you. It’s a little on the rough side when comparing to some of the big name brand tools, but this has a lot more merit than I first considered when first looking at it.(***NOTE: You do not receive the magnifying glass - I need it to see the smallest print on the box!)The multitool is small so it is easy to pack or stow. Individual parts of the tool seem to open from easily for the most part, but you need strong fingernails to get to some of the items (small blades and saw for example). Virtually ALL of the blades can be locked in place, for safety which is totally great! Some items take a little more pressure to lock them so I suggest you test before use. There are different types of discrete locking mechanism release latches that you may miss initially, but once you find them you won’t forget them.Having a tiny eyeglasses screwdriver seems out of scale for easy use but if you really need an eyeglass screwdriver you could probably make it work and be happy it’s an option.The scissors absolutely must be locked into place or the spring action will not function. While on the subject of the scissors, there is a bent end of the handle of the free moving scissor part that was as sharp as the knife blades on the knife I received (marked on one photo with a teal blue circle). A few quick strokes with a file takes care of that.The multitool kit includes an innovative inclusion of several screwdriver and similar hex shank bits that resemble typical bits you find in everybody’s drill bag. Although potentially very useful, the engineering of these bits included a spring loaded detent ball in each individual bit to keep them in place during use. Screwdriver bits typically available in the USA will fit but they will fall out, and that means that you’ll need to have a source for replacement detent ball bits when these wear. With that in mind, would they have done better with a detent ball in the multitool or would the ball eventually wear out too?
