Thought it was ok, I was wrong. Frequently clogs where the two bodens meet.

I live close to the beach on the WA Pacific Coast, so do ALOT of surf fishing. It's a challenge with the strong current and shorebreak if you're using the standard pyramid or 'biscuit' weight as your bait will just go anywhere up of down the beach and you'll miss the troughs or other common feeding areas for surf perch. These weights are awesome in keeping your bait stationary in the feeding zone, and easy to retrieve with a little tug before reeling in,. A game-changer for me and something you always need in your beach tackle bag.

hotend leaks and causes blockage about every time you use it!

Hot end works and does print but has a small hole somewhere and leaks filament out. Photo attatched is from less than an hour into the print. Eventually enough filament leaks to have a catastrophic failure to your print(drags part off of bed from so much extra filament around nozzle)

It works well, however I am not too pleased with the fact that you cannot get a different heat break for it. The one that is in it is PTFE lined. I print a lot of ABS, and PTFE is not so good for that. I went to get a Bi-Metal break and discovered that the hole in this in 5mm instead of 6mm. 6mm is the size of most heat breaks, and 5mm ones are proving very difficult to find.

These Sputnik style sinkers will hold the bottom better than a typical rounded sinker. The spines come covered with a plastic cap, and while you may be tempted to toss the cap out, it's nice to be able to recap the spines in order to take up less room in your tackle box. A nice feature is the long loop end stem to attach the sinker to your terminal gear- much easier than many molded lead sinkers. One concern I have with this particular sputnik sinker is that the spines do not lock in, and stay free and loose. It may be that this reduces the effectiveness of holding the bottom. In any case, I'm happy to have these sinkers in my arsenal.

If you want to surf fish and have not used Sputnik sinkers before I highly recommend trying them. There are plenty of manufacturers of them and they are pricey, but they hold the bottom great and I rarely lose any. Most have beads and help keep the legs in the correct place, this one does not. I loaded a photo of several of the ones I have, the 2 on the left are these new ones. See the way they come in a plastic sleeve. This, along with the plastic cap that keeps the extended legs in place make for a good method of storing them. The stainless-steel wire is a heavier gauge than others and the lead is more streamline than some for better casting.
