After several months and a host of players (kids, teens, adults), no one has gotten very far with this puzzle. I think everyone has given up for now. Not a great gift unfortunately.

Purchased as a gift for our 12 year old grandson who loves puzzle-type challenges. He collects Rubik's cubes and has a couple of the Perplexus balls- so this was a no-brainer. He was thrilled and although it took him a while he was able to finish it.

Ordered this as new but it came used. The packaging had been opened and taped back together and the instruction manual was ripped. Have not used the product yet as it was a gift but am upset of paying new price for a used product.

I bought this and a smaller travel perplexus for my 7 and 4 year old boys respectively for an international trip. While the travel perplexus was a huge hit this one was a bit trickier. It took a long time to get them into it. I also find it tricky myself. Definitely took some thinking on my part (although i am not exactly a rubix person so maybe not fair). The instructions were ok but not as idiot proof as they could be. My big complaint with this is that the numbers are difficult to find so it took some searching to find some of them (and some we still haven't located). Once my kids (especially the 4yo ha ha) got the hang of it, they found it entertaining, but it didn't hold their attention as long as the travel one - possibly because they are too young.In terms of build quality, the ball got stuck the first time my kids used it and we struggled to dislodge it. We did manage it though and haven't had a problem since. The twisting is quite easy and so sometimes it can be hard to turn because the different orientations are not in alignment (they easily slip slightly out of alignment).

I originally thought this had 8 separate mazes and now all one that connects. Bought as a gift and it’s a love hate relationship because it’s very cool and fun but incredibly frustrating 😂
