Unfortunately this is just way too much work for a little bit of fun. I'll start off with the simple process required to setup this little toy. First you need to strap it to your wrist. then adjust the cable so that your wrist bend action pulls the launch cable. Next you need to secure the launch carrier (aka bullet) into the device and it will light up (note it didn't work at first, but I found the battery upside down.) Then you need to wrap the string around the loading tool (this is tedious and not fun). ONce its loaded, pull the metal wrap and stuff it in a tube designed to set the magnetic end against the buller carrier when loaded.Next affix the suction cup with the magnetic start. (I'll go ahead and note here that you will lose the suction cup in the first day or so. Quite possibly the bullet and it does come with two strings, so plan on tangling at least one of them to beyond the capability to be untied.) Now it's ready to launch. No sudden movements or you’ll ricochet a web bullet across the living room and into your moms pot of chili. The carrier with the suction cup seems harmless but it's held on by a magnet. We lost it on day 1. Now the magnetic tip is a recipe for a broken window, glass, door, or even a hole in the drywall. Keep away from eyes and treat it like a loaded gun with no ability to really know when it's going to go off based on a wrist movement. Should you successfully launch the web, now you have to roll it back up and start again. It's a lot of wraps required and the string is probably tangled by now. It was a fun toy, but kids lost interest almost immediately with shooting webs and turned to shooting cans down with the magnetic carrier bullet. At the end of the day, it's not for the impatient and it is certainly something that needs close adult supervision because the force from the spring loaded carrier will hurt a hand, let alone an eyeball.

I wanted to update the review. The seller has offered me a full refund. I think this was very kind of the seller and indicates a measure of integrity. I will not ask for the refund since we are keeping the device and my grandson may, once in a while, use it.Here is the original review:When it works, the effect is fairly impressive. However, I honestly don't know ANY children that would be willing to spend a couple of minutes winding and preparing the web bundle to enjoy a "web shoot" experience that lasts about a half second.Tips:This product seems to continue what seems, to me, to be a disturbing trend: that of making the instructions so small that, unless one has much better than 20/20 vision, some kind of magnification is necessary.Winding web bundle: make sure the flat side of the white plastic web bundle piece (WBP) is facing the "head" end of the "winder" (the plastic piece that holds the 2 winder tines together). The magnet end of the web silk gets pushed into WBP. Then wind the silk around the two tines of the "winder".When fully wound, hold the plastic bead (at the end of the silk opposite the magnet end) against the end of the windings, then push the entire assembly into the "cup".Holding a fingernail between the WBP and the winder "head", pull the winder out of the cup.Insert the "magnet bullet" (post with magnets on both ends inside a spring) into the device. Attach the suction cup to the exposed end of the "magnet bullet".Insert the cup containing the web bundle into the device. It would be nice if there were something to actually hold the cup in place but, unless the web is "shot" soon, there is a good possibility that the cup and most of the web bundle will fall out (the front end of the bundle will probably stay in since it attaches magnetically to the "magnet bullet".Adjust the length of the "release mechanism" (two cords extending from the "magnet bullet" end of the device) such that the cylinder holding the two cords together rests on the middle two fingers when fully bent to the palm (if left looser, you'll probably shoot yourself in the fingers when the release is activated).Bend the two middle fingers out to put pressure on the release mechanism and shoot the web.
