Nice football. Gave three stars because the football I received looks different than the one in the picture, plus the size was bigger than what I was going for. I wanted a Mighty Mite sized football, and this is about the size of a PeeWee ball. My sons still like it and use it often.

Purchased this for my pre-teen son. He was happy with the quality and feel of the composite. The size is great for an 11-13 year old hand. Overall very pleased with this purchase.

First off this football is great to get your kid started to play football especially if you are enrolling him in a Pop Warner league. I read the other reviews and i figured out why they didn't get the football pictured here...its the WRONG size!!! I also got the football with white stripes and saw that it was the size JUNIOR not MITEY MITE! So i chatted with an Amazon customer support representative and told them it was the wrong size and they sent me the correct size MITEY MITE and it was the exact same football pictured here with black laces and on the football itself it says MITEY MITE so please make sure if your getting a certain size you check the box for size before pulling the ball out! Amazon is #1 when it comes to customer satisfaction and now i can get my 5 year old son in Pop Warner and becoming an NFL quarterback(hopefully for the 49ers!)

This item is not the one displayed in the photo. The ball has "traditional" white stripes versus the black stripe across the middle. The striping, however, is not the issue. The bad thing about this ball is that it is much slicker than the composite ball with the black stripe (currently being used in my league in NY). The black stripe ball is very very tacky. This ball is slick vs tacky. I recommend you purchase from somewhere that has the black stripe ball.

It looks like this years model was produced by a different manufacture. It has a some sort of slippery film coating. This makes the ball harder to grip and use during games. I do not recommend using this product till this is fixed.
