Here are the positives first. It produces an image and transmits it via wifi to my iPhone. That's it. As for the negatives, the wide angle lens pushes everything away from you so anyone more than 10 to 15 feet away is unrecognizable. The wifi connection is tenuous. Seventy-five percent of the time I have to hit reconnect a dozen times and even then it often fails meaning I have to remove the unit from its anti-theft mount and press the connection button. After the short trial period, you lose the ability to store video unless you pay a subscription fee. The basic subscription, ~ $10/month is just that, basic. You want to stay connected to a live feed longer than the default connection time? That will cost ~ $20/month and Ring constantly tries to up-sell you to the costlier subscription. Since the video goes through Ring's servers, the lag time between what is happening outside your door and what you see is long enough that someone will be at your door before you can recognize them. Finally, the lens offers a great view of the walls on either side of my front door, but no clue as to what is on the door mat. Surely there is a better solution.

Fits perfectly only downside the screw that locks it is the inly screw it comes with so if you lose it, it's hard to find a replacement

Perfect for rental wanted to go the no drill route to avoid any move out fees. I was able to safely secure my ring camera. The adhesive is very sturdy and secured my camera from falling off, I was also able to place it where I wanted too inside of the side of the door which is great because I have better view now. The camera holder came in with the proper screws to help secure my camera and hassle free to put together.

Was not able to mount because the hole in the mount didn’t line up with the hole on the doorbell and I had to order another one. Lost money
