These are made well and fit a 4x4 upright post for legs of a deer stand and have holes to fasten the posts to the mount.The top slot is made to accept a 2x6 or 2x8 base leg for constructing the platform on top.

These are awesome brackets. They're made of thick steel with strong welded joints. They've held up well after a season in the woods. They're definitely weatherproof.

Nice set of brackets for my deer stand. Mine were old and rusty and really needed replaced. These were a perfect fit and now my stand is stable again. They work as they should and were easy to install. Good value set.

These are very well made brackets for a play house or a deer stand. The welding looks great and the metal is heavy and flawless. I haven't measured the brackets nor had a spare piece of 4x4 to see how it fits, but I do expect them to be a bit bigger than 3 1/2".

Deer hunting this fall has shown me that it's time to update my stand and this set should work well for helping with building a new one. We actually have a similar set that we are planning to use for a stand for my nephew and in our testing the concept is a solid and well thought out design. You use the bottom to put the 4x4 or double 2x4s as your vertical support and then the horizontal beams go through the top and can be any size as long as they are two inches wide. The angled design allows the vertical supports to be at a slight angle which allows it to be more stable when all four are in place. The metal is solid and well-constructed and should hold up to the weight as well as the wear and tear that we plan to put it through. I have no problem recommending this set of brackets and you can be sure that if something happens or if they fail in any way, I will be sure to come back and update my review.
