I would like to get a bike rack so I can keep my 26" mountain bike in my tiny studio apt vertically (currently it's stored in my parents' home). Although this bike rack got many bad reviews about unclear instructions, I decided to give it a try as it's less expensive than other bike racks with wheels on Amazon. Like many reviewers had mentioned, the instructions weren't too detailed. Nevertheless, I personally found it very easy to put this rack together by simply looking at the pics on the listing/instructions. All needed tools were provided in the box as well. I also found this rack very stable (didn't wobble like other reviewers have mentioned).

Product description states “Assembly Required: No”. Then it comes in pieces with the worst instructions. It has parts (pictured below and others) that aren’t even on the instructions. I’m an engineer and have assembled tons of furniture, toys, and products, and it took way too much time and I’m sure I didn’t assemble it correctly and have hardware left over. Some of the product pictures are even a different bike rack.

Not very stable. Added another brace to keep it from tipping over.

The instructions for this bike stand are indecipherable and for a completely different product. I found a user video that explains it, without which I doubt I would have been able to assemble this correctly. I have not yet attempted to use this although I am not confident that it is strong enough to work vertically. It will certainly hold the bike upright on two wheels although a standard kickstand suffices for that purpose, making this product irrelevant. I am dissatisfied with this purchase.

Let me first say the directions on this were impossible to interpret. I put together some of the pieces and had to have a friend come help with the rest.We finally got it together and all the bolts tightened yet it wobbled like it would never hold my bike.I decided to put it to the test. Took it downstairs and wheeled my bike onto to it, which took both of us, one to hold it and one to wheel the bike onto it.Well, without even trying to stand it vertically, I let go of the bike in the rack and it would have fallen over if my friend hadn't caught it. I tried over and over to get it to stand up but it just isn't strong enough. And I have a girl bike that doesn't weigh too much.We both came back to look at the picture on the description and saw that yes, it did indeed say it would hold the bike upright vertically. I laughed and said I was not going to try it.So, it's now holding up my bike just rolled in on the ground. But it's not much different than it was using my kickstand. Not sure if I will keep using it or not, so sad that it isn't good quality and doesn't perform as the description claims.If you have this on the way, good luck to you. And if you get it to work PLEASE let me know how! If I put it together incorrectly I would love to know how to fix it.
