This works only okay. The side holder doesn't reach the paper towels once the roll is half empty. And when it's full, you have to use both hands or the paper towels bunch up.That said, I love how it looks. lolAnd it is sturdy, and has a rubber or silicone bottom so it won't scratch your countertop.

This brushed gold is beautiful in color. The gold is more on the lighter side; not brass at all! Easy to tear off the paper towel. Wish it had the automatic click roll when you pull it but it does not. It does have the spring handle which help rip the sheets easily. However, once the roll get low, the spring handle doesn’t hold the paper towel snug on the holder.

I loved the aesthetic and simplicity of this paper towel holder. Unfortunately, the bar used to push on the paper towel often has to be re-bent. For example, if I put a new paper towel roll on it, as I use the paper towels and the roll gets smaller, it doesn’t have as great of tention as it did when the paper towel holder was large, so I have to bend it. I’m concerned with all the bending, overtime, it may break. In all fairness, so many of the paper towel companies advertise 50% more on every roll for example, and so paper towel rolls are just naturally much larger than they used to be.
