I picked this magnetic mount up in hopes to be able to be able to capture some discrete POV footage with my GoPro as the typical chest rig, or headband mount tends to draw a bit more attention than I'm looking for when I hope to capture people in their natural element. I was initially impressed by the strength of the magnets, but the added security of the included lanyard ensures the camera isn't able to be shaken free during more vigorous activity like trail rides as well as keeping it from getting swiped by sticky fingers in a crowd. Additionally, the magnetic mount can double to affix your camera to a steel body panel on your vehicle, more discrete than a suction cup mount, but less permanent than an adhesive mount. Much like the GoPro being fixed to the mount itself, I can't wait to figure out all the different ways I'm going to be able to get use out of this new addition to my camera bag.

I was going to use this for my GoPro hero six when I go walking, but it’s too heavy. You have to have a real tight shirt in my opinion for it to stay up close to you. The magnet is strong. I pinched myself twice with it, but for me, I wear loose clothing, it did not do the job GoPro would just lean forward I gave it three stars because maybe if I wore tight shirts, it would’ve worked

Before I order it, I was worry about that the magnet doesn't hold firmly to the base. I was wrong. it is magnetic force is super strong if you attach it directly to the base. I am having hard time removing it directly using my hand. I have to slide it sideway in order to detach it.However, if you are putting base behind the cloth, then it may be a concern depends on the thickness of your cloth. I find that it wont affect the magnetic force if the cloth is within 2-3mm. If it is thicker than that, it may fall off if you are doing extreme movement.Overall, it is very useful. I love it a lot. will see how durable it is.
