It is well-made. The materials are good. All the seams are finished and closed. I really like it. I got it to use when we go out on our boat because it’s often windy there but also sunny but I find I can wear it even on colder weather when it’s very sunny out because the ear straps actually keep your ears a little bit warm. It also has vents on the side of it which keep your head from sweating. One very slight drawback is that the vents on the side stick out just a little bit and some people may not like that effect. It doesn’t bother me at all though.

This billed hat's best when used in modest ocean conditions. The shade provided by its bill is a welcome feature, however, it can become a liability when oncoming surf arrives with considerable force, usually this drives the hat down over the eyes, or it flips the cap back. Takes some trial & error to learn how to deal with these eventualities. The chin strap's strong, does not come undone. Overall: very serviceable sun-protection headcover.

A hat that will stay on and dry fast is already a win. But this has a slightly longer bull than most of my regular caps which really helps with sun out on the water. Its bill is also sturdy and getting wet doesn’t weigh it down much at all.

Supposed to be a dust blue cap with white strap, but actually dark grey with black strap, very ugly. Design okay but the hat does not look like the picture at all,

After one too many lectures (and procedures) from my dermatologist, I am now a wearing a hat or cap in the sun kinda gal. I never thought headgear looked good on me. But neither do skin conditions caused by the direct sunlight!This cap initially appealed to me with its ease of folding up to pack away when not wearing. This does in fact fold nicely and compactly enough to be tossed into a bag, backpack or even waist pack or mid sized purse. Big plus for me as one of my excuses for not previously wearing headgear is “What do I do with it when I’m indoors or not out in the sun?” Does it fold completely flat? No but close enough.The chin strap I have a bit of love/dislike relationship. Another of my excuses for not wearing headgear is what happens when it gets windy? I dislike having to hang onto my hat so to speak. With this handy dandy chin strap, not only do my ears get some sun protection but if the wind starts up, I can just snap the clasp and not have to worry about the ifs and hows of potentially having to go chase after my errant cap. I also like how the clasp is a bit off center as opposed to directly under my chin. Much more comfortable!Here’s the part of the chin strap that I don’t so much love. I wish there were some way or place to perhaps snap it out of the way at those times when you may not want to have this cap firmly in place. Best I can figure (and it looks a bit wonky, is to snap it above the top to keep it out of the way. Not fashionable but it’ll do. My likes of this cap greatly outweigh my dislikes so it is what it is.Breathability flaps help with cooling off and an added feature which I don’t see listed anywhere is that there are built in straps where one can secure ones sunglasses (or regular glasses I suppose) atop ones head when not wearing it. Love that!I think I’ll get myself a couple more of these hats in different colors (I wish there were even more colors…brighter actually) so that I can keep a cap in my car, in my travel bag, etc. I need to keep that dermatologist happy afterall. This may not be the most fashion forward accessory but on practical use, it gets the job done!
