At first the blade had trouble locking, but with some coaxing it is now locking in place. One of my favorites now!

I bought this as my EDC, and i must say, out of the box it was the sharpest knife ive ever seen. The frame lock is sturdy and it opens quick, and very smooth. Much like the last SOG or two ive owned the clip could be better. Its not as bad as the Terminus XR. That would be my only complaint, the clip. Other than that it is sleek, feels good in the hand, opens almost effortlessly, and locks solidly.... very, very sharp out of the box. I would buy this knife again. A good EDC!!!

This is an excellent knife. Came very sharp out of the box and feels good in the hand. Lock up is solid and there is no blade play. The blade was a little off center but after a pivot adjustment, the blade centered up nicely and the center has held over use. This is a three-finger knife for me, so the front choil is very functional. However, after adding a lanyard on the knife, I can use four fingers to hold on and go farther back on the handle, a hand position which has good ergonomics as well. This is a great choice for EDC in my opinion, not too big and not too small. I follow this designer and enjoy his work. I also appreciate that the pocket clip can be switched over to left-hand carry.Pictured alongside the WE Cirrus, which is also a frame-lock flipper with a blade cut out and a front finger choil (sort of) and also a very fine EDC choice. On the Stout you can use the flipper to deploy or your thumb to slow roll this using the cut out in the blade. When the pocket clip was set up for right handers, I could also reverse flick open the knife. But after switching to left-hand carry, I put too much pressure on the lock bar to open that way now.My one complaint is that the access to the lock bar is a little tight and unless I really dig in there, my thumb can come out and the knife will spin back toward my hand. I have big hands and most little knives bite me, but so far this one has been great. I enjoy it a lot. Have fun!

I like small overall EDC blades but they’re are almost always too thin. The stout solves that problem. The edge grind is a bit higher making it a nice slicing knife and the tip grind was we thought out. With the full finger choil you can get your woke hand around the grip. The flipping action is super smooth with great lock up. And it comes with a deep carry clip. So far, I love this little blade. It replaced my CS Mini Recon (which I loved) and I don’t miss it.
