I ran these blades through a few tests and they work great! The teeth appear to be laser cut and that process adds heat treating. I cut balsa, bass wood, thin hobby plywood, plastic and nylon. Also soft non-ferous metals were no problem. The blade stayed sharp. The handle works perfect, tightens up great, and doesn't come loose. These blades have fine teeth and require some finesse when useing. Let the blade cut and don't force it. I could ruin this blade easily by forcing a cut and or pressing down on the back stroke.

Need: Cutting balsa a basswood for diorama buildings.Dislike: NothingLike: Very fine teeth accompanied by light pressure produced excellent cuts in balsa.Related Information: Balsa wood will easily crush rather than cut if too much pressure is applied. Inadvertent crushing can also occur when using a hobby knife. Large saw teeth can cause balsa wood to tear. With a little patience and a deft touch, this saw will make professional clean cuts.

Seems to be a harder steel than the big name. Only issue is the original is made to cut ona draw stroke while this is made to cut on a push cut. Makes accuracy on brass a bit more difficult. However, it is staying sharp while the big name sulls quickly an is a much higher price. GRRRR!!!KnifeMaker

This saw cuts on the back draw, 32 teeth per inch makes fast work of plastic/wood have never tried on soft metals. Does has a tendency to stick when cutting resin model is only draw back I have found. Just take it slow when using. You Get two blades in pack 1 is 4 1/2 " long 180 teeth and cuts 3/4" depth. The other is 4 1/2" long 180 teeth and has a cut depth of 1". The bleads are made of Carbon Steel.

Used it to trim off hardwood plugs over screwheads. While it does the job,as others have mentioned, the handle attachment does tend to loosen, so you need to keep an eye on it as you work. The blade is very fine, I got good smooth cuts in 3/8 oak, but the kerf is narrow, and the blade is thin, so you do need to pay attention to keeping the blade aligned with the cut. Given the price, I'd say this tool is good value for money, though not up to the quality of a real Japanese pull saw, definitely a good choice for balsa, thinner hardwood or plastic used in modelmaking.
