we have had several pairs of these in our family for many years.they are so light that, if you put one in your left jacket pocket and one in the right, no one can tell they're there, but they make a huge difference if you have to drive with a sub-freezing steering wheel or walk short distances in 20-degree / 20 mph wind.of course, they're not warm enough for extended exposure in extremely cold conditions.

I love these gloves but had to use them as inserts. Its cold in Minnesota and as inserts they are great!!!

I question whether they are the real deal, the pair with touch screen material coming off that I ordered here have been worn one time for a run in the rain. They started to peel off while trying to use my phone, very disappointed. The pair in perfect shape I bought at a Smartwool store in Banff last summer, they have been used running, backpacking, as a liner in motorcycle gloves, etc.

I have purchased four pairs of these gloves for my husband, brother, nephew and son-in-law and they all have commented on the nice quality. My brother will use them to go steel heading (fishing)this winter.

I got these to keep my hands warm while driving in the winter. However, they were much thinner than I expected, and didn't keep my hands very warm. The seams were fairly big too, and I didn't like the feel of the steering wheel while wearing these.
