since smallrig discontinued 2129B for nikon D850, I think this is the only way to go.but it's just a little small for nikon d850. disappointed.

The appearance of the cage, fitted to my Canon Rebel SL3, is not a problem at all. I think it actually has quite a sleek fit.The versatility is a huge plus. It comes in the mail in 8 individual pieces, and you get to decide how it fits best to your camera. For my camera, I used the top and bottom plate and only one of the vertical beams (with the two arms that attach to the top and bottom plate) to make a half cage.Value for money really depends on how many things you’re wanting to mount to your camera. For me, I attached two handles to the cameras so far. It’s a really pricey frame, and this is my biggest complaint. If you have any doubts about the usefulness of this cage, I’d hold off on buying it.

Es de un gran material, da la sensación de seguridad, ya veremos en la práctica, queda estable y seguro la Cámara Canon 60D.

I am not much of a reviewer. However, three words - functional, expandable and longevity! Bought it 1 or 2 years ago. Money well spent!

Se promociona, como se demuestra en las fotos, con la pieza para fijar la Zapata de la cámara a la placa superior y no viene esa pieza. No esperaba una falla así para un artículo de este precio y de esta marca.Me decepcionó mucho.

I wanted a minimalist, lightweight and low profile cage for my 5DIII, and this is working out pretty nicely. The parts are well made and the cage feels very solid when put together. I'm only using one of the arms at the moment to mount a Small HD AC7 (via a magic arm) and a mic. This cage is definitely not quick release. It requires an hex key for securing the hot shoe mount. It's easiest to attach the top and bottom plates separately, and then attach the arms. Not a big deal, but this isn't an ideal cage if you want to be able to quickly switch to a bare camera (for photos, for instance). Also, the bottom plate isn't really ideal for attaching a manfrotto 501PL plate. In the future I'll probably use the 3/8" tripod screw to attach the tripod plate to the bottom of the cage and see if that helps. All things considered, this is a great way to mount a monitor and mic on a 5D3 without adding a ton of weight and still keeping the total package small and easily manageable. I was previously hanging everything off of the camera's hotshoe, and this cage is much more sturdy and well balanced solution.

When it comes to rigs and equipment price is not the first thing I look at. I jumped from Red Rock Micro to Smallrig for quality, innovation and service. This is a great mount for the price. Needed something a little more compact for a medium frame DSLR than a full size rig for extreme action video production. Very light, rigid and well designed unit. Tons of attachment points for field monitor, lamps, arms, mics etc. I'm a huge fan of Smallrig products. I give Smallrig 9 STARS even if Amazon only allows 5 stars.
