We are just getting back into photography and pleasantly surprised at the amount equipment choices out there. The cage from small rig is amazing. The fit is perfect, the mounting/securing points are well thought out and accessory attachment points is over the top! The quality and bang for the buck is great, a solid 10 out of 10.

I was using another brands half-cage for almost a year, and decided I needed an upgrade.For $250, it is a much better deal to buy the standalone cage without the USB-C/HDMI cable camp and top handle, especially if you already have a top handle. They unfortunately do not sell the cable clamp standalone, for whatever reason. However, if you're looking for an everyday cage that you can use for photography, but also rig it out when a situation requires it, this cage is for you. The other full camera cages are more designed for strictly full time video rigs, as they are quite bulky with nothing attached.It is extremely strudy for how low profile it is, it fits my S5M2X like a glove. I love how easy the cable clamp is to attach, just using thumbscrews, no tools required. I have 2 minor gripes with it.1. The top of the cage is not a nato rail. I'm assuming they had to make this design choice to ensure proper pressure contact to give that tight sturdy feel.2. The part of the cage that "wraps" along the right side of the grip is unfomfortable when trying to use a hand strap. If your hand is shoved deep into the strap, it is actually extremely confortable, as it creates a natrural curve for the palm of your hand. But in this position it is impossible to hit the WB ISO and EC buttons in between the shutter button and video button. You have to contort your index in a very awkward position, bending it sideways. Not to mention, you can't use your thumb for any of the back buttons, like the joystick, D-pad, and backbutton-focus.I normallay use the handstrap for more of a hybrid fingerstrap/fingergrip, which allows me hit all the buttons on the right side of the camera. But with this cage, that right part of it digs into the inside of my metacarpal knuckles, and i can't bend my fingers properly to get a comfortable grip.
