They look soft and flimsy but are comfortable and seem to take rough wear.

I've been using an old pair of LL Bean "duckshoes" for the last 30 years. They're kind of decrepit now after serving well as mud shoes in spring and fall. I saw these "Sloggers" online and liked the description so I ordered a pair. I just completed an hour and a half of weeding dandelions off my front lawn (I'm 75 now) and aside from needing a break after an hour, these shoes kept my feet dry and ache-free. My back - not so much. The only caveat is that they slipped a little on an incline because my pure cotton socks were a tad slick but it was not bad. If it becomes an issue, I'll just add a thin insole for better grip. These things are really comfy and look pretty good for a lawn care shoe. Good price, too, IMHO.

I've had these shoes for 3 years, and they've been perfect for me. I bought them so I could walk my dog in the yard without getting my feet wet or dirty. I love that they're easy to slip on, keep the water out, and have held up well over time. I've worn them in all kinds of weather, from snow and sleet to hot summer days, and they still look like the day I bought them. They're great for walks in the yard, or any kind of activity that isn't strenuous (they don't have adequate support for more strenuous activities like mowing the lawn). I usually wear size 10.5, and the size 11's fit me great. At first I wore them without socks and they seemed loose enough that I might have to return them, but when I wore them with socks, they fit perfectly. I definitely recommend these.

I love these ‘shoes’ for their fit, comfort and ease of quickly slipping in and out of them. In addition they are very well made and I’m sure they’ll last for years. However, I have found one downside to them. They have a very aggressive, anti-slip sole..which I really appreciate, the problem is, because they don’t lace up/buckle tight to your foot like a regular shoe/boot, I’ve had numerous instances where if I’m on uneven terrain, slopes, slippery hillsides around our property, the sole will grip and hold fast, but my foot will rotate inside the shoe and throw me off balance. There’s a real potential to sprain your ankle or fall because of this. My pair aren’t overly large on me, but they also aren’t too tight. Maybe with thick socks and a snugger fit they might be more stable. I’ve now reserved these for more light duty use (to from the mailbox/garbage can/car etc) and have a more conventional half boot for yard work / outdoor maintenance chores.

UPDATE: Just bought a second pair for my husband. My marriage might not survive if there isn't a backup for when the originals wear out, so I jumped when I found a reasonable price online. In both pairs he sized up to 11 from his regular 10.5, the fit is great, and the brown colour doesn't look artificial when being worn - which is good, because I'd have to tie him up to get them off.ORIGINAL: I bought these for my husband to wear gardening and taking the dogs out quickly in wet weather. I can't get him to wear his regular shoes now... Fit well, unexpected comfort.
