I ordered this power supply once and it arrived with a cracked plastic housing. I thought it was no big deal so I sent it back (got my money) and then ordered a new one. The second one showed up cracked also! The product still works but I needed it for my job so I could not send it back another time. To be clear it operates fine but seems to be very low quality plastic around it and Amazon drivers (or someone else along the way) break them.

Power supply for home security system. Connect your three wires and plug in, good to go. This works as expected, powers security system and keeps backup battery charged incase of power outage.

So most doorbell systems are 16v or 24v as far as I can research so most AC/AC doorbell transformers are made to those 2 voltage specifications. Unfortunately neither of those options work out in my situation.I decided to get a nice new Ubiquiti Unifi G4 Doorbell Pro which is fancy but fancy also means power hungry. When powering this doorbell with a normal 16v 30va transformer, my camera would sometimes report power dips into 12v. Yikes.. that's some huge voltage drop especially through my houses old doorbell wiring. My readily available option was to get a 24v transformer at my local hardware store but those are not really safe on my 16v mechanical chime. Rewiring with thicker gauge wire was also not an option unfortunately. Here comes this particular transformer after hours of researching what might be best. It has just enough of a voltage bump to overcome my old doorbell wiring but not enough, really, to harm my mechanical chime. My voltages have stabilized and my doorbell isn't warning me about underpowering it now. I'm assuming this would be a great option for anyone else looking to power a powerful doorbell camera like a Ring Pro or Nest while keeping a 16v mechanical chime.Time will tell how long this will last but my setup has been happy for a week so far. Here's to hoping for a long life
