It says it’s for a 6” pipe but it will not fit the pipe. The clapper will not turn in.

When I read the reviews I was a little hesitant but on recieving the product, I was pleasantly surprised. The pipe itself is a standard stove pipe. The damper is NOT CAST IRON but a heavy steel (1/8" thick?), not flimsy at all. The handle is an "L" shape rather than the old fashioned key. But it works fine, in fact, in our installation it's better because I can grab or hook something on to the end of the little handle and push it up and down. The hardest part of the installation was getting the adapter for the flexible liner to slide all the way into the damper section. Because it was so deep, I had to cut the neck of the adapter so the damper could move without pushing the pipes apart (a couple semi-circular cuts where the damper shaft comes thru). And the bottom of the damper section needed to be crimped to fit the tee coming out of the stove. The guy at the stove parts store did it for nothing. Thanks Matt at Abundant Life!!The product itself gets 5 stars, but it is a little confusing that they stated "cast iron" in the description when the one in the picture and the one I recieved is most definitely not😒
