I just discovered that my new wheels are bears to get tires on and off. Broke my tire levers that were 15 years of useful years old. These Silca levers have the unique benefit of having thin edges that can get under the super tight tire bead while being seemingly unbendable so they pry the tire up well. Small and lightweight, I don't expect to need new levers again :). This is a product that justifies its price with clear quality.

I got these for my road carbon rims. They are small in size and not clunky at all. Two levers in the set. Easily fit in a jersey pocket. They come with a small sleeve to hold them together (don't lose the sleeve or they'll be hard to keep track of because they are small).I expressly got these to use with a tubeless road set-up on carbon rims. The tubeless tires fit more snug than the usual clincher set-up, so I wanted to get something that would be strong but easy to use, and also helpful in breaking a seal on a tubeless tire.I have a 50 mm deep rimset, and using the levers is not a problem. They have a small little shelf that can be used to hold a lever on to a spoke while the other lever can be used to sneak under the bead to help unseat the bead from the brake track. (I'm running rim brakes on this wheelset)I have never used levers that attach to your spoke, but this design works really well and makes everything a breeze.I like the fact that the tip is small to help get under the bead. Ever have tire levers that are so fat at the tip that they're hard to use? These are NOT like that. Quite the opposite. I think these are great. And they're designed with many things in mind. They designed them so the alloy parts won't be the contact point with your carbon. Rather, the nylon part will be as you use them. Best part is the alloy makes their small size a non-issue...they can be leveraged easily. Just be careful with your carbon rims, I could imagine that too much leverage, and you could do some damage to your rimset before you would break these levers. The price is more than your standard set of cheap levers. But I don't think these will break anytime soon. In fact, I think these might just last forever they're made that well.

These are optimized for getting tubeless tires (which are a very tight fit) onto/off of carbon rims (which are easily scratched and damaged). I'm using these on tubed tires on aluminum rims and after breaking and bending many plastic levers, these are the only ones that are really, really tough. The plastic covering keeps them from scratching the rim. They are very small and fit well in my Silca Mattone seat pouch. The only drawback is that the tip of the blade is pretty narrow but if the tips were wider, they'd be much harder to get under tight tires, so these are well-designed for their purpose. If you want something that's durable, protects the rims and has wide blade tips, you'll need one of those bike shop tire vise tools but those aren't portable. You can't have it all but these levers are about as close as you can get.

I don't have carbon wheels (yet) but even on my regular wheels these are the best levers I've ever used. Super strong! I have tight tires on my bike and these allowed me to get into the small opening to get started. Made change a tire a lot nicer; if that is possible. Went from about 10 minutes to about 2 minutes with these levers. They also take up a lot less room in my saddle bag. They do not clip together and have a little leather sleeve that holds them together do not throw this away like I almost did. They each feel like little high quality tools.
