I'm a "hat person", have owned a lot of hats. This is probably the best overall winter hat I've seen.It covers the whole head, like a winter beanie. You can pull it over your ears.Yet, has a style of a cap. A cap that is warm, soft, and comfortable. Snug, but not tight fit. Perfect fit for windy winter days.Also, well made.And, to top it off- it says it's hand washable.( haven't tried that yet, but great I can!)I wish I could do that with some of my favorite caps.Very satisfied with this hat. It's motivating me to look into getting a different color of the same hat.

This hat is lined and is very warm for the winter. I can just pull it down over my ears. I like the brim as it keeps the sun out of my eyes. I live up north and the sun is fairly low in the winter. When I walked in a 30 degree day, my head stayed nice and warm.

I just received my hat yesterday so really haven’t worn it yet but it looks SO CUTE on and seems to be well made. I am a little concerned that with any lengthy wear, the wool may start to bother me. I’m going to wear it around the house for a little bit to be sure I can tolerate it. Not that it feels that scratchy on, It’s fairly soft, but knowing me, I’m allergic to many things. But, if you know you’re not allergic to wool, I would very much recommend this hat. I just look stupid in a stocking knit beanie type hat. They make my face look fat and my head look too little for my body, like a pin head. I feel like I’m All face if you know what I mean. But this hat makes me look so cute and I can have some hair pulled out around my face and on my neck so I like that look. But I could also tuck it all up under my hat and still look fine. I think it gives some height to the top of your head and fullness so you don’t look like a pin head and the bill just adds to it. Shades from the sun and rain dripping in your eyes. Really helps hold the hood up on your coat. I got the speckled one with different colors woven in it so it will go with many of my different color coats. The color was called gray, but it looks more brownish to me with other colors marbled in. I liked it that color. But I would not describe it as gray. It’s plenty big. I have an average sized head. It might dwarf a small head. It’s very comfortable for fit. Yep! I LIKE it! Hope the wool works out ok. I really do want to keep it.Update: After wearing this for a few minutes, I realized two things. One, it was going to bother my forehead because of the wool, even though the wool is soft and not scratchy. I was seriously thinking maybe I could put up with it when I realized the hat was just too big. Just looking in the mirror was fine, but as I moved around, the hat began slipping down over my eyes. I would have had to continually push it up. If you have a big head, this is the hat for you. I would recommend it happily, but it’s just not right for me. But as usual, Amazon gave me no argument and emailed me a return label to return it. I’m going to be looking for a non wool hat in that same style. It’s cute!

So cute! Fits perfect and is very warm as well as keeping the sun out of your eyes if you don't have your sunnies with you! I am going to be adding 2 adorable pink pom poms to the top to add more adorableness
