It works great, my wife uses it for interviews, having this mike between her and the other person, catching the sound from both of them. Had to purchase a pouch separately, though.

I love this mic for video work. Excellent, clear stereo audio, and it works beautifully with my Canon XA-20. Since I've had this, I never use any of the other mics that I used with the camera for dialog in the studio. No more messing with recording to one track and copying it to the second track. This sounds way better than that ever did. This will let you do things that would otherwise require two separate mics, and having to mess with mixing them properly.

This is an EXCELLENT mic for live concerts & events, and especially sound design. Can be used as a mono or stereo mic. The L, M and H levels of stereo pan is an essential feature. Highly recommended. I've also seen this mic used as a drum overhead in concert (the mic was placed 2 feet over the drummer's head)

I recently purchased this interview mic in order to properly conduct interviews in the field. The handle is long enough for my mic flag and for my hand to comfortable hold onto it. This is a omni-directional dynamic mic which makes mic placement not as critical as in the case of an uni-directional pattern. Because it's a dynamic, even though it's omni-directional, it doesn't pick up as much background noise as a condenser. The one thing that you must be careful about is not to be moving your hands around on the mic when you are interviewing. It does pick up these handling noises. If you just practice good mic habits, this will not be a problem. I paid about $78 for this mic and I'm extremely pleased with it, having already conducted about 8 interviews.
