As expected, a classic Shimodo perfection. Many youtube reviews describes it perfectly, quite compact for daily walks. Ipad pro doesn’t fit to sleeve, passport holder doesn’t seem to be as handy as it is described but still handy for other valuables, like credit card, id etc.

Well engineered. This pack may appear at first glance to look just like any other pack, but it’s tough to find small packs with an internal metal frame. This pack distributes heavy loads very well and is beautiful to look at. I carried it all over Italy for nearly a month and it was a pleasure to carry. My kit contained a Nikon D700, 70-200mm zoom, 50mm and 14-24mm zoom.

I bought this as a Christmas gift for my boyfriend and he loves it. He literally loaded it up right after opening it. Everything fits so perfectly. He has a lot of gear so we went with the 30inch

As I already have a dozen or so different photo bags in my cellar, several of them medium to large camera backpacks (30-50 litre range) of different brands, I decided to buy the smallest—20 litres—version of the Shimoda Urban Explore series.Firstly, I am amazed at how roomy the bag is for its small size. I can fit my Sony A7R V mirrorless camera, 2 Minolta Dynax 7 film SLRs and my 3 favourite Sony A-mount prime lenses: Distagon 2/24, Planar 1.4/50 and Sonnar 1.8/135, a charger, a few filters, a few rolls of film, 2 extra batteries, and a flash. It is simply incredible how well-organised the space is in the camera insert’s deep compartments. With all this photo gear, I can still fit a few essential items in the pockets, such as keys, wallet, paper tissues, hand sanitiser, reading glasses and my iPad.Secondly, the backpack is unbelievably comfortable to carry, despite the considerable weight of all the gear mentioned above. On a recent weekend trip in the forests of Eastern Belgium, I was able to carry my equipment for several hours at a time without any problems.Thirdly, the backpack feels very sturdy and seems to provide excellent protection for my equipment—but I admit that I haven’t dropped the bag yet.Sure, it is an expensive backpack but for me, it is definitely worth the price and most certainly the best backpack for photography that I have owned so far.
